Doom Eternal Reviews
Doom Eternal represents the natural evolution of its predecessor, replicating all those aspects that we enjoyed in 2016 and combining them with new and successful mechanics, which greatly improve the flow of the game and the strategic aspect.

A brutal sequel to an already great game. Doom Eternal adds a lot of little improvements to the formula with top-notch level design and a fantastic soundtrack. The multiplayer is a disappointment.
DOOM Eternal is one insanely thrilling action packed shooter that perfectly blends the classic elements of the franchise within modern era mechanics.
Doom Eternal is an incredible action-packed adventure. Excellent gameplay, large amount of contents and almost perfect balance in the difficulty are some of its highlights. Fighting all sorts of monsters and exploring scenarios full of secrets is always an incredible experience. Although the story does not do favors to the title, it is certainly one of the best action-shooters of all time.

In an attempt to expand its universe like how Universal did with the Fast & Furious series, id Software never forget why people played Doom back in 2016 in the first place: because you want to play an arcade shooter that’s challenging, fast, frenetic, and fun. Doom: Eternal hits all of these pillars and then some.
Despite the platforming elements possibly being the worst addition to Doom Eternal and personally feeling that codex entries and the story should be more obvious to players, I will say I adore how much effort has been put into the game to make it a wonderful standalone experience. From excellent level design where arenas grow larger, taller and deeper; all the way down to the brevity of weapon acquisitions and constant arsenal updates, it is clear the developers want fans to feel like the Doom Slayers their characters are made out to be. Doom Eternal is excellent in this regard, and is easily one of the fastest, best and most entertaining first person shooters on the market today.
DOOM Eternal increases the difficulty significantly, raises the platforming to essential parts of the gameplay and tries to turn the game into something more strategic, but at the same time faster.

DOOM Eternal is everything you can ask of a sequel, it has everything that the previous game brought and enough changes and additions to make it bigger and better than that. You can spend hours dismembering demons without getting tired and enjoying every minute.

DOOM Eternal ticks all the right boxes to be a great addition to the series. Whilst it does keep things fresh with its combat resource management approach, some players might find this too overbearing for their enjoyment when hoping for a straight-up shooter. Therefore, it’s advised to remove any preconceived shackles from 2016, and approach it as a fresh experience under a familiar guise.
As it stands, Doom Eternal is a hallmark in the first-person shooter genre that effectively adds complexity and polish to the stellar groundwork set by the previous entry. It will be hard to top the achievements of Doom Eternal.
Doom Eternal is basically id Software having to show the gaming industry once again how to make a f***ing shooter. This is still a simple shooter at its core that will take gamers back to the 90’s while showing a new generation what a real FPS is suppose to feel like.
DOOM Eternal offers more of the same brilliant and brutal action that made the series so beloved to begin with, but also evolves upon the traditional formula by bringing bigger and more open-levels to the fray that encourage a lot more acrobatic manoeuvres from the player. It comes together perfectly to make for a fantastic first-person shooter that not only lives up to the DOOM name, but boasts a more fleshed-out and expansive experience than any other release in the series before it. It’s f*cking awesome. DOOM Eternal is simply one the finest shooters that has released in this generation of gaming, and if it wasn’t for some sketchy platforming sections here and there it’d be pretty close to first-person shooting perfection.
A truly excellent sequel for DOOM (2016) that tries new things. It doesn't invest so much in the dark atmosphere and the horror elements but instead it tries to integrate even faster gunplay with new platforming mechanisms.

The game is action-packed, chaotic and tons of fun, and it looks fantastic, too. Some great games are coming out across 2020 as well as the start of a new console generation, and this is a great way to truly kick off gaming in 2020.
DOOM Eternal is the culmination the 20 years of FPS shooting game design. It offers an intense and mainly original action experience. It is also a game that is not unnecessarily massive and offers a comprehensive package of challenges for which everyone will find time and have a pleasant time during playing. It offers even more difficulty options for those who are willing to pass through more than one hell gate. In addition, it offers rewarding gameplay, excellent audio-visual and perfect optimization. This is a masterpiece in the field of FPS games.

Doom Eternal is an adrenaline-fueled ride full of great action, but it trips over itself with too many systems added to the combat. I love Doom Eternal, but I love 2016's Doom a little bit more.
It looks great, plays like silk and it’s just fucking metal.
If Doom 2016 was a truly next gen incarnation of id Software's seminal first person shooter, Doom Eternal is the ultimate and most brutal version possible --a true spectacle in every way.

One of the best first-person shooters ever made, DOOM Eternal etches its name into the annals of history for eternity.
DOOM Eternal puts forth almost too much effort toward surpassing the world-famous 2016 entry, resulting in a great game that could have been better.
