Borderlands 3 Reviews
Start to finish I was absolutely captivated by the game and I’m eager to go back in and experience more of this incredible universe as I look forward to the free and paid updates that are coming soon which will hopefully keep me satisfied until the next chapter in the series is released which hopefully will not be as long a wait.
Borderlands 3 is an absolutely jam-packed game in terms of content with its unique style and loot shooting action. But in terms of humour, story and narrative it fall terribly short. On top of it many technical glitches and bugs leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the graphics department.

Overall Borderlands 3 is more of the same, and that's a good thing.
There are countless issues that made me roll my eyes, but they did not outweigh the gameplay, which is something I plan to engage in every now and then, but probably on mute or while watching a movie.
Most of what this game has to offer hasn’t changed since 2012. It’s more Borderlands. Decide how you feel about that.
Borderlands 3 has all the good things we loved in its predecessors and upgrades them a little. On the other hand it still has all the problems of Borderlands 2 and a few new ones. It’s fun to play, it has great feeling and it still is the best loot & shoot game on the market. However it also has some game design problems and more than a few technical difficulties that spoil gameplay and just shouldn’t be part of modern AAA titles. That being said it’s still a must for every fan of the series and every gamer who wants to became badass crimson raider traveling impossible galaxy full of insane creatures.

Borderlands 3 makes some smart improvements over its foundations. A vast variety of weapons, tighter controls, fast-travel and other quality of life improvements make it the definitive installment.
Ultimately Borderlands 3 is a mixed bag. It’s like going to visit my family at Christmas; you jump in the car, visiting those same people that you love dearly and enjoy seeing but it’s still the same long journey and your Dad is telling the same old jokes that make your skin crawl.
Borderlands 3 isn't revolutionary in any way, but it's a welcome evolution. Shooting and looting is more fun than ever before. However, the technical aspects of the game are a bit of a mess and the story is a massive letdown.

The massive amount of guns, quality of life improvements, planets you travel to, and proper endgame are all a recipe for satisfying even the hungriest among us. But the performance issues are a detriment to the enjoyment that should be had. Due to it being so much fun (especially in coop), that you can look past some of the issues. Borderlands 3 represents the best of the genre by again offering ‘Diablo with guns’ to such a satisfying degree that’s been so sorely missed.
"While our review has seemingly been more about the bad than good, it's because you know what you are getting into with a Borderlands title, and as someone who has struggled with the series in the past, I had certainly hoped that a third try would be the charm, which it has been - once you begin dusting off the New Game+ content, which is where the true meat of the game actually is."
Borderlands 3 is able to skillfully enhance the unique selling points of its predecessors without losing its characteristic focus on cooperative gameplay and its motivations. Numerous minimal modifications within the varied maps, the pronounced individualization options within the skill trees as well as the original boss fights make it possible for Gearbox's successful series to secure the place on the genre throne as a matter of course. Despite the rather uniform main missions, the generic antagonist and its technical deficits, the co-op shooter overcomes the motivational hurdle, not least because of its improved loot offering and the mature endgame concept. With Borderland's 3 humorous charms including his loving cell sading graphic style, we are no less faced with a timeless co-op adventure that might turn our leisure activities upside down for the time being.

Borderlands 3's stellar gunplay and awesome arsenal heavily contrast its disappointing humor and characters.
If you’re a fan of Borderlands, there’s a lot of love in doses here. It’s fulfilling from both a gameplay and fan-service perspective, with tons to see and do for hours on end.
The game hasn’t taken any wild new directions but rather focused on improving the existing formula. The entire game feels like a warm duvet on a cold day.
Borderlands 3 promises a lot of fun gameplay and a good scenario. But the technical problems of the game, destroy the fun.

Borderlands 3 brings all the fun and enthusiasm that the series is famed for while also introducing tighter gunplay and new locations to explore. Disappointingly, it fails to address some issues that have plagued earlier games and there's very little in the way of innovative, refreshing gameplay.
All good things come in threes but not in the case of Borderlands 3. Gearbox manages to cut out a lot of beloved features from previous titles and leaves us with uninspiring open world areas that are only kept alive from the craziness of beloved characters.

Borderlands 3 does technically evolve the franchise, and it is a fun time for those who know what they’re getting into. While most of the quests don’t have the motivation that you’d expect, the core gameplay is incredibly engaging. Every Vault Hunter feels fantastic to control and the world-hopping adventure leads to some gorgeous locales, but it’s not a decidedly better game than what’s come before. It’s one step forward and a juvenile step back to impress its friends. Oh, and there’s a fart at the end just for good measure.
Borderlands 3 is the exact follow-up that fans have been waiting for, delivering more of what they’ve come to expect with some surprises along the journey.
