While it has a few flaws, mostly in the performance department, don’t be fooled. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is still a dream come true.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on Nintendo Switch is an amazing fresh remake, that makes it look like this game never really came out whole 26 years ago. It manages to bring new visuals, amazing remastered soundtrack and still maintain the old level design to bring you the ultimate Link's Awakening package.

This is undoubtedly now the definitive way of playing the great game that is Link’s Awakening. There are far worse games options on the market, and as it stands, an updated version of Link’s Awakening is simply a great game in 2019.
Two decades later, Link's Awakening feels fresh but with the same flavor and charm that made the fans fell in love with it the first time.

After 26 years, returning to Koholint Island was a pleasant escape that provided a thoroughly realized game world that I had forgotten how much I loved. Most players will finish Link’s Awakening in under 10 hours, though collecting every seashell and piece of heart, or journeying through Hero mode after finishing a normal playthrough, will extend that game time dramatically. To some gamers’ dismay, this game is priced at $59.99 retail and in the US eShop. Complaints range from the relatively short campaign and cartoonish graphics to the fact of it not being a new game at all, but I would be challenged to find a more polished and charming game in 2019. For me, the weird, wonderful world of Koholint Island, with all of its funny characters, clever dungeons, and inspired background music, made the price tag worth every penny.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is one of the cutest and most unforgettable experiences you can ever had on a Nintendo Switch. The game is almost carbon copy of the original one but has that little touches to improve the experience. That is the kind of remake we always want to see.

EXCELLENT - The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a fantastic experience from start to finish. With an incredibly adorable art style and stunning soundtrack the most noticeable upgrades, it’s the improved control scheme that really makes this game more approachable than ever before. Newcomers can expect at least 15 hours of game (more if you want to collect everything), whereas veterans should have no trouble blowing through the game at a much quicker pace. The value will be in the eye of the beholder, but after seeing the credits roll I felt the $60 price tag was more than fair.
From start to finish, Link’s Awakening was a delight. Its setting, cast, and quest stand apart from the rest of The Legend of Zelda series; and with its gorgeous visuals and added conveniences, it marks the perfect way to revisit this Game Boy classic.
It’s the perfect game for anyone looking for just the right title to dip a toe into the Zelda universe and proves quality top-down RPGs are not a lost art.
"The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" proves to be a charming remake with a modern look and the popular game mechanics of the original. Once again, the mystical island of Cocolint will be the setting for puzzles, research and immersion in a world full of wondrous creatures. Although "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" has a contemporary look, connoisseurs of the classic will quickly recognize the individual locations and enemies. Only the dungeon editor still lets air up and offers a rather entertaining pleasure. Zelda lovers and retro fans can indulge in nostalgia with "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" and should not miss this title.

This remake of the classic 1993 adventure isn’t as polished as I expected, sporting a new physics system and camera angle that introduce entirely new problems. It’s wonderful to think that Link’s Awakening on the Switch will introduce one of Link’s most intriguing adventures to a new generation, but it’s obvious that the goal was to replicate the aesthetics rather than the feel.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is just as magical as it ever was, and, in being remade, has lost none of the charm that made the original so special in the first place.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake for the Switch improves most of the flaws from the original game while maintaining (or enhancing) everything that makes Link's Game Boy adventure a classic. Its shiny new coat of paint suits it well, even if slowdown issues pop up from time to time. A few hours of play is all it takes to remind you why Zelda fans love Link's Awakening so very much.
Link's Awakening has definitely changed, especially the outstanding visuals and impactful audio, but it stays very true to its ancestor that introduced Zelda games to a handheld device all those years ago.
Disappointing chamber dungeon building aside, TLOZ Link's Awakening for Switch is the best version you can play right now. The updated animations are somewhat cutesy, but the improved controls, which cut out annoying item switching, should be the biggest selling point for newbies and hardcore fans alike.

Playing Link’s Awakening is so simple that anyone can do it and everyone SHOULD do it. It’s that good.
It is a must-have for any Zelda fan, and so should take its place as a console seller for the Nintendo Switch.
