Need for Speed Heat Reviews
Thrilling night races make Heat the best Need for Speed in years, even if I want to batter every one of its racers.
Need for Speed Heat puts the franchise back on the right track, but the various bugs and dull story means the series is still behind the pack.
Overall, Need for Speed: Heat is a fun game and might be the best in the series since 2006's Need for Speed: Carbon. The open world is pretty and there are a lot of fun activities for you to do. The only thing holding the game down is the annoying cops which affect your enjoyment factor in a huge way. If the cops weren't such a big factor in the game, I would have liked this game more.
It’s time for a revolution. Need for Speed: Heat is definitely the best game in the current-gen series, but that’s nothing to brag about. This actually should have been the first NFS for the 8th generation of consoles – then, perhaps, we would still have remembered it as something special. But at this point, the game basically just goes through the motions. Not great, not terrible.

Overall Need for Speed Heat was a fully enjoyable game with many features that help keep the game from getting stale or boring. With the ability to use Studio App to design cars on your mobile and import into the game, customizing your in-game character you can make adjustments for hours. I would highly recommend NFSH to anyone that loves a good street racer game that just wants to get a nice ride and have fun.
There’s a good amount of things to enjoy here as you lap AI racers and online rivals. Just be prepared to deal with a litany of issues that will bring your enjoyment levels down a peg.
Even though it does something wrong for everything it does right; Need for Speed: Heat is still an enjoyable experience that tries to present everything we love about this series.

It’s Need for Speed through and through, for better or worse, but the execution is far better here than the last few attempts I’ve made to dive back in.
After a series of bad games, the Need for Speed franchise is back on the right track. It offers gorgeous visuals, beautiful car customization and solid gameplay mechanics in an open world.
While far from a perfect comeback, Need For Speed Heat refocuses the franchise on what it does best, and it’s all the better for it.
Need for Speed: Heat on its own is a great time. Sadly, the cast of characters and the forced drama in the story don’t do anything for its appeal. There are elements within the game that could be tweaked, but as a package, this is an excellent entry in the series.
Need for Speed Heat is a big step in the right direction for the iconic franchise
This double downs if you’re a fan of the aforementioned ‘Fast & Furious’ films, but if you’re not, skip the dialogue and enjoying the race like its 2005 again.
In the end, Need for Speed Heat is a return to the series' old form, with an emphasis on "old."
Need for Speed Heat is certainly the best NFS in 8th generation but far from Best in the series. An exciting, stunning, entertaining and maybe addictive racing game that you can play and enjoy for hours.

Great modding and a decent game engine can't disguise the tired story and simplistic driving.
The best Need For Speed in several years, which may sound like mild praise but despite a lack of variety this is a fun arcade racer hybrid that respects its roots.
Need for Speed Heat puts the series back on track with a renewed focus on simple racing and customizing cars.
Need for Speed Heat has a great visual style that smartly leans into the tuner culture that helped set the series apart in games like Most Wanted and Underground. Unfortunately its sluggish progression and weak online offerings keep this from reaching the heights of the series.
Saying this is the best Need for Speed games in years may not mean much when some of its recent predecessors were just decent, but Need for Speed Heat is a return to its roots for better or worse, and is still fun to play even if there are better racers out there.
