The Last of Us Part II Reviews
Naughty Dog's bravest, darkest masterpiece to date and one of the greatest games of this generation.
People will be talking about The Last of Us Part II for years to come. They’ll be analyzing the story, if it needed to go to the lengths that it does, and considering the effect its world-building, gameplay mechanics, and accessibility options will have for years to come.
The Last of Us Part II is finally here and if you're a fan of the original, the next chapter of the game is even more moving and riveting. For newcomers, it will make you want to play the original and best of all, there is a remastered version available. The Last of Us Part II is also quite a well-crafted game from start to finish and whether its the perfect graphics, the clever world-building elements or the moving and powerful narrative, it all comes together and really makes you invested in the next chapter of Ellie.
So being shackled to deviceless divulgence of the game's key drivers will be a challenge indeed, but it's one we're willing to take given The Last of Us Part II is arguably one of the year's biggest releases, and stands as something of a swansong for the PlayStation 4 as we sit ready to slide into the next generation.
Whether or not you consider The Last of Us Part II to be a worthwhile continuation of Joel and Ellie's story, there's no doubt that Naughty Dog has crafted a sequel that's every bit as ambitious and well-considered as the original, with quite possibly the best stealth-action gameplay realized to date.
Considered it's one of the most anticipated games in 2020, I knew the game would be great before I actually started. What really surprised me is it's even better than I have thought. The Last Of Us: Part II is not only the greatest masterpiece Naughty Dog has ever made but also the best story-driven video game of all time.

Featuring generation-defining game design, The Last of Us Part II is an unrivalled masterpiece that stumbles ever so slightly under its own ambitions
The Last of Us - Part 2 is a poignant and devastating story about what remains of humanity. It is not just the best game of the year, but the most representative game of this generation.

The Last of Us 2 is an emotional rollercoaster that doesn't always hit the mark with what it tries to pull off. It does, however, provide enough amazing highs to outweigh its unfortunate lows.
The Last of Us Part II is Naughty Dog’s magnum opus; the result of years spent mastering its craft.
But it’s usually smart to bet on Naughty Dog sticking the landing, and Part II invests so heavily in these characters—new but especially old—that by the time the actual ending finally arrives, it’s gutting in a wholly different way than the original’s. All of which is enough to make you hope against hope that this will be the last of The Last Of Us—and to suspect that if it isn’t, everyone involved will again justify the decision to continue it.
The gameplay is functional. It isn’t grossly offensive, it just is the bare minimum to get by. It does suffer greatly from the obtrusive narrative and forced walking sequences which are far too long, frequent and unskippable. There is new game plus, but the experience just fails to hold attention after the first time.
Personally, I feel that this game is damned close to being a perfect masterpiece. From start to finish I was captivated and the gunplay and combat are satisfyingly stealthy with progressive brutality which some may feel slightly overblows the emotive struggle you endure. Barring a few minuscule glitches and a feeling of being drawn out in places, The Last of Us 2 swings for the big leagues and raises the bar on every level.
The Last of Us 2 delivers where it counts. It's oppressing, it's brutal, and it's a sucker punch, by way of the positions it puts you in to drive home what a change of perspective can do. As it's said, every villain is the hero of their own story — and vice versa.
The Last of Us Part 2 is a brave, daring title, ready to surprise you with sometimes extreme choices, in a spiral of revenge seasoned with blind violence and never filtered, but at the same time never an end in itself.

The Last Of Us II is an improvement on the first in nearly every way while still keeping what made the first game special. Story and characters are well done as expected and the game plays and feels amazing. In keeping with the spirit of the first game, The Last of Us Part II has become one of the best games of this generation.
The Last of Us Part II's purposely bleak, pessimistic narrative spares no one, and offers a deeply engrossing tale of vengeance that grabs and never lets go. The production values, and overall attention to detail are insane
The studio’s latest creation is a masterpiece in story narrative. The gameplay has evolved and the game presents awe-inspiring visual effects. The Last of Us Part II displays the best post-apocalyptic world made to-date, and uses it to lay bare the human nature in various conditions. While the previous title was all about love, this time revenge takes the center stage, and makes us face our judgment

The Last of Us Part 2 tells a fresh story at a high cost. Beautiful graphics and sound design create a great backdrop for the end of the world.
It is a "Mission (almost) Impossible" to create a sequel for a Masterpiece like The Last of Us that would be better in every aspect, but for Naughty Dog it seems that it is just another regular day in the office! The Last of Us Part II is one of the best games ever created and it really breaks your heart with one of the most beautiful and sad stories we've ever seen.
