The Witcher 3 for Switch is a marvellous port that makes some smart sacrifices to graphics and performance to translate a fantastic game in a downgraded but highly playable action-RPG
Its amazing what has been done with this portable Witcher 3 port. Yes the graphics are downgraded, yes it does not look as good as other versions but it is a well running portable version of a great RPG. You get a lot of game for your money and it is well worth your time and effort.
The Witcher 3: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch may not look as good as its PS4, X1 and PC counterpart, but it's still a blast to play and one of the best rpg of this generation.

The Witcher 3 on the Switch is, miraculously enough, a decent-looking, well-performing, portable version of one of the greatest games of all time.
The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo Switch, despite its many optimizations, remains a technical masterpiece considering the console's limitations. Playing in handheld is downright magical and masks some of its visual shortcomings. Well worth giving it a shot, even if you've already experienced the game elsewhere.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for the Switch is a terrific accomplishment by Saber Interactive, albeit with less than desired graphics. But it is amazingly playable, captures the game perfectly, and is a must buy for fans of the action-RPG genre. It is the rare game that one can lose themselves into, let alone in portable fashion.

The mature content and somber approach of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition may put off some gamers, but it's a can't-miss game for those seeking an RPG with more bite and consequence (not to mention playable characters above the age of 15) than we normally get on Nintendo systems.
Whether Witcher 3 will be your entry point into the larger Witcher universe or you're a longtime fan, I cannot recommend it enough. It is a game that to some extent transcends its genre and one that everyone should play. Witcher 3 is not only one of the most impressive of the impossible ports on Switch, it is one of the best games on Switch, and perhaps the finest western RPG of all time.
It is a truly impressive technical feat that a developer was able to get The Witcher 3 onto the Nintendo Switch in a working state at all. That doesn't necessarily mean that the port should have happened though.
The Witcher 3 on Switch is clearly the least visually impressive version of a great game, but it's one of the greatest RPGs ever, now made portable, and that's just too cool to miss.
The reduced visual quality doesn't stop The Witcher 3 on Switch from being an astonishing technical marvel from Saber Interactive. It remains one of the finest open-world games of this generation, especially if you favour rich storytelling over systems and mechanics, which you can now take with you.
