Cyberpunk 2077 Reviews
Cyberpunk 2077 ultimately fails to deliver on most of the promises made during the lead up to its launch, but what it does deliver on is really spectacular. It’s one of the strongest RPG experiences in this kind of setting, with killer characters and a thoroughly enjoyable suite of side quests that’s easy to love in spite of its faults.
CD Projekt RED did something incredible. They managed to create the game that you wholeheartedly wish to keep playing in spite of all the bugs, broken mechanics and bland gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 was saved by its narration. Night City feels alive thanks to its breathtaking design, well-developed characters and multi-layered quests. Although it is not the messiah that we were promised, it still is a good game.

Unless you have the absolute highest-end PC, you won't yet get to experience Cyberpunk 2077 to its fullest potential. What’s more drastic is that the console versions of the game have concerning amounts of glitches, to the point where it's more appropriate to be described as an incomplete product on arrival. Of course, if these technical shenanigans weren’t an eyesore, it would have been on the level of pleasing many types of gamers out there. For now, you should probably stay away from attempting to play the console versions.

Firstly, read the whole review to draw safer conclusions. Secondly, those of you who have a good PC, although you will not play the next polished diamond in the industry, will at least be able to enjoy it to the fullest extent possible. Those of you who have a PS5 and Xbox Series X expect the big next-gen patch to come sometime in 2021. Those of you who have a PS4 and Xbox One, ignore it for now. Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 is, in its backbone, a very good game, but it was not ready at all. CD Projekt RED just shot itself in the leg...

CD Projekt Red has laid the foundation for serious potential but possibly should have waited until 2077 to release the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game of the generation, but its technical and gameplay ambitions can get hampered by either perplexing design decisions or hardware that most gamers have. The open-world futuristic Night City and the people who reside in it are some of gaming's most memorable ones and the story captures the essence of Cyberpunk beautifully.
In time, it will likely get better, which makes it hard to recommend, as patience shouldn’t be a requirement to enjoy a video game, especially from a studio highly praised in providing great games. If you do take the plunge, there’s greatness found deep inside, you just need to dig with your hands longer than usual to get to it.
Cyberpunk 2077 tries too hard to come across as cool, dark, and gritty, and instead feels like a wannabe edgelord. A shallow environment with average gameplay makes this an unoriginal experience that feels like a flashy reskin of any other game. Add in the insane amount of hype leading up to release and the constant game crashes, and players are left with nothing but disappointment. Not cool, man. Not cool.
I'm in a huge conflict with Cyberpunk 2077. Much of this game is just fantastically well written, the characters draw me in and I want to learn more about them and the world around them. A densely populated city, terrific graphics splendor and deep role-playing weave makes this future dystopia something special. If it weren't for the ugly grimace that lurks around every corner, every quest and every dialogue. The first patches provide some improvement, but how much work does CDPR still have to invest to make Cyberpunk 2077 as playable as possible on all platforms? Of course, a lot is planned, but is that enough to make up for the disastrous start and appease bruised customers and shareholders?

Cyberpunk 2077 is a truly massive game. While it is not as big in scale as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, or as great in status as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it most certainly is one of the most ambitious titles of 2020 and now 2021. There are bugs and the game may not be as polished as many gamers have hoped, but it is nowhere near as scary or as bad as the bandwagon has made it out to be. In practice, the game serves as a fun romp in a dystopian world where cybernetic implants and prosthetics prevail. The player takes on the role of V, a merc who wants to make it big, in a living and breathing city with a life of its own. Supporting characters are by far the game’s strongest feature, with animations and voice overs that truly are next level. It may not be the masterpiece everyone expected, but it comes very close.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an unforgettable experience in a huge and unique world; With the deep stories and memorable characters, it promises the beginning of a successful franchise.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a title that aims at what the best that the video game industry can offer us in terms of creative content on a differentiated and interactive experience. Admittedly, its' troubled launch does not help in the general evaluation of the title. Nevertheless, the foundations are very solid and the final product, after being properly revised, has the possibility of becoming a reference in the current video games panorama. For now we remain expectantly waiting for the next steps of the producer and how this experience can grow.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive undertaking, and unfortunately this undertaking doesn’t completely hit its mark. It has potential, but the product currently available needs more work. I enjoyed the experience, but it was a struggle at times.
The truth of the matter is, Cyberpunk 2077 is a very good, but very flawed experience, but one that is still worth having. And with any luck, one that will continue to improve over time.
I am seriously envious of my friends playing this game who aren’t having issues (mostly PC players), because I see glimpses of the greatness Cyberpunk 2077 has in store. Once CD Projekt Red works through these crashing and glitching issues, and maybe moves the console version of the game into at least a beta phase, it could be fantastic. I, for one, am looking forward to replaying the game with all new choices when Cyberpunk 2077 is fit for console launch.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that was never going to live up to the massive hype it generated but what was released is an unfinished game with too many issues that may be beyond saving.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the most rewarding and meanwhile disappointing experience of the decade. Although Night City, character and main story are interesting, there are a lot of problems that prevent you from playing a good role-play game
