Worthy of a Class-A Hero! One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a solid fighting game experience wrapped in nostalgia and callbacks to the animated source material. Fans of the anime will love to be able to play as their favorite characters and add their own flair to this over the top world of heroes and monsters. Despite some drawbacks the game is a fun way to immerse yourself in the world of One Punch Man and feel like a true Hero.

Much like why our red gloved, yellow donned, pale-caped crusader does his job, we play video games for the exact same reason. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game that should be played, just for fun.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a treat for fans who just want to be a hero for fun and beat the living daylights out of some villains.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows takes on the highly popular anime from a different perspective and pulls it off pretty well. With its unique fighting, over-the-top moves and charm from the show, fans can enjoy watching Saitama all over again. Newcomers will have some difficulty following along, but it may be enough to interest them in the show afterward (or in doing 100 push-ups, sit-ups, and squats and a 10K run every single day). After all, it’s just a hobby.

An amusing and charming figher RPG with some very unique elements. If you are able to overlook some of the combat's shortcomings, getting to play as Saitama will make it all worthwhile

One-Punch Man fans have a lot to be excited about with this game and should definitely check it out! Even though the game is not centered around Saitama, it does closely follow the first few major story arcs in the manga, which makes this nerd very happy. The game is also simple enough for a young child to follow and enjoy (if the parent is okay with violence and chaos, that is). All in all, I give this game a 75 out of 100 for its easy to grasp combat system, endless player customization, and the beautiful visuals.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a very complete fighting game, it has many missions at our disposal however the game graphically falls short and its missions are somewhat repetitive. Many characters to unlock, online mode and many hours to enjoy.

Look, I'm going to be honest with you, despite its flaws I still really like One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, it's just so far removed from what it feels like it could have been. There's a vast gulf between the unique ideas that make this feel special and the basic gaming stuff that it doesn't quite get right. It's a real shame because this could have been one of the best anime games to date.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game aimed primarily at Saitama fans with a nice progression system and lots of content. Unfortunately, not all of them are well made, the gameplay can become monotonous and the fights weighed down by various structural defects.

A fun arena fighter that lacks the punch it needed.

The best way to describe One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game designed for a certain type of fan. Those looking for a more complicated gameplay experience or to live the story will likely be disappointed, whereas anyone looking for something set in that world will probably have fun. Toss in a wide variety of wacky characters and it has enough to look forward to. Some might not enjoy the basic elements or get tired of the relatively low difficulty but for those looking to just live in the world, you'll likely be at home.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a fun but flawed fighting game. Regardless, it's funny and true to the anime enough to be given a chance.

You’re never going to be amazed by it – it’s pretty by-the-numbers – but you are going to be engrossed as you turn your wimpy wannabe hero into a saviour admired by all.

One Punch Man: Hero Nobody Knows triumphs in creating a battle dynamic that accommodates the particularities of its great protagonist and works very well for those already initiated in this universe. Beyond that, it is a game similar to so many other famous anime adaptations, with an extremely simplified combat system and a single class C look.

Ultimately, how we judge this One Punch Man game depends on our own expectations. It is not the most pleasant experience but if you can get over the flaws, it is not a terrible game overall.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is not a bad anime implementation, but unfortunately not a good one either. The new hero arrival system, various events and items as well as the detailed characters from the series bring a breath of fresh air into the fighting. This also gives the luck factor an enormous weighting, which is not necessarily advisable in a beat’em up.

One Punch Man has made a succesfull transition to the gaming-world. The satirical approach to superhero Manga is conserved, while many of the recognizable heroes and villains make an appearance. Fights are diverse and mostly work pretty well. Recovery from getting hit doesn't always work well. The invincible Saitama has been incorporated into the gameplay in a unique way, that work really well. The mandatory sidequests to progress the story can become a drag.

One Punch Man’s first foray into video games is a mostly fun experience. The customisation options featured in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows allow you to create some truly wacky fighters that no matter how strange, would probably fit right in with the OPM universe. It’s definitely a game that will resonate more with existing fans of the anime or manga series, as it’s issues do hold it back from being highly recommendable to those that aren’t. I’m excited to see where Spike Chunsoft might evolve and take the series next after enhancing what already worked here and taking on player feedback.

If you are madly in love with the series starring Saitama, you will have several tasks to perform in the world created by ONE, coming from the homonymous city. Between fights with known monsters and fetch quests, you will feel at home and ready to accompany Saitama in training to become the most powerful hero in the world (however, I do not advise you to cross your own path). A less successful entry while playing in general but with a lot of lore to entertain fans, which simply does not justify an AAA PVP.
