HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed Reviews
HYPERCHARGE Unboxed is a solid co-op shooter with a nice compliment of MP modes. The base game is $30 and if you have friends to play with you’ll get a week or two of fun out of the campaign as you try to unlock everything. It’s never bad, it’s never great, it’s fine.
An incredible nostalgic aesthetic and straightforward gameplay model are endearing in the best way but start to feel thin all too quickly.
Hypercharge: Unboxed is an exceptional shooter that has a lot to offer the gaming audience. The impressive gameplay can tie many a gamer to his or her seat, while the original artwork sets the title apart from other games of a similar nature. All of this is complemented by unorthodox designs, breathtakingly detailed maps and fun online matches. While I could find a few flaws, it doesn't change the fact that this is an enjoyable venture that is definitely worth your time.

With its Small Soldiers vibe, setting a mix of tower defense-esque strategy and shooting at a toy-like scale, Unboxed seemed full of potential...
With deep character customization, excellent tower defense gameplay, and customization that allows you to play how you want, Hypercharge: Unboxed is the FPS game that relives your childhood fantasy of toys coming to life.
This isn’t your typical shooter! Instead of fighting in a war-torn country or against alien civilisation, you’re fighting amongst chairs, beds, kids toys and furniture within a massive house. You’re a toy… well, actually you’re an action figure with the single goal to protect multiple strange coloured cores known as hyper-cores that are located around each environment.
