After a few patches, Warlander may well be able to stand at least in line with other mid-tier roguelites and action adventures, but right now... not so much.

Warlander is a disappointing experience that fails to capture the pleasures of a roguelike game. The combat is unpolished and sluggish and it is rife with poor animations and unfinished assets and elements. Outside of the dismemberment, there's little here worth seeing.

Warlander is a high-quality MOBA with a hack 'n' slash combat system that works well even in the most chaotic online situations. Regardless of the task at hand in battle, there is never a shortage of action, whether you seek for a fight to break through enemy lines or stay in the rear building defen-sive machines. Character growth and equipment provide satisfaction, and even without the Battle Pass, a lot of rewards can be unlocked. I am a bit afraid about the importance of in-game purchases, however, since the upgrades are not all merely cosmetic but directly affect player stats.

Warlander is an entertaining and violent romp that shouldn't have been born a roguelike.

Sadly, the general lack of polish and low amount of content damage the experience in the end, making Warlander a game that can be recommended only to the most die-hard fans of the Souls series

Overall, Warlander just doesn’t do enough to make it feel special or justify its predatory monetization scheme. The first few matches are fun, but once you run into enemies who are objectively more powerful again and again, the fun begins to fade and there isn’t enough variety to keep things fresh.

Warlander is a simple but attractive free to play, it has things as good as bad that keep it out of virality. You have to try it, it is one of those games that if you try with friends will not leave you indifferent, because it has great moments that you must discover, such as the cataclysm and its epic comebacks. Or even, the construction of a defense to expel the invaders.

Warlander will cost you nothing to try out and see if its high-paced arcade-y combat overcomes the the tedious visuals and audio.

Warlander's visuals and story are generic and it's a bit short on content, not to mention the irksome bug that removes your permanent upgrades. But the combat and cutting mechanics are extremely entertaining breaths of fresh air that make the game very much worth playing.

Warlander feels like a melting pot of different mechanics, but with its own personality. Unfortunately, not everything fell into the right place during the development, but it's an interesting attempt nonetheless..

Warlander is a roguelike action-adventure developed and published by Clock Drive Games. It has a unique game play, taking inspiration from a lot of popular games like God of War, Dark Souls and Jedi: Fallen Order. With a unique stamina based tactical swordplay, procedurally generated world and a variety of abilities and upgrades, Warlander is definitely one of the most ambitious indie games of 2020.

Warlander is a rogue-like developed by Clock Drive Games. You play Bruce, a resurrected warrior who is out for vengeance. The game has quite a bit of potential but is held back by clunky controls and small bugs. However, between the precision targeting mechanics and base game loop Warlander does have an addictive quality that keeps me playing.

At the end of the day, you’ll probably have fun with Warlander if you’re a fan of Team Death Match style games. Whether that means Mordhau or a first-person shooter like Team Fortress 2, the action is chaotic and the deaths aren’t punishing so you can always just sign in and get to fighting, and you should.

“Warlander” is fully packed with good ideas and promises of a great game. But, as of launch, its myriad of issues that go from unit balancing to lack of proper communication between teammates. It’s still fun in short bursts, but don’t come expecting this to be your next big multiplayer game.
