Wasteland 3 is an example for future classic role-playing games, and its minor technical flaws do not detract from an outstanding result.

A massive and detailed tactical RPG, Wasteland 3 offers so much to do. A few technical and visual issues occur, but nothing that will ruin the experience.

The single-player in Wasteland 3 runs fine, but the co-op is currently a hot mess. If you plan to play co-op, wait for a few more patches before picking it up.

Wasteland 3 is an amazing game from start to finish. There is even enough content here for multiple playthroughs, despite the fact that it doesn’t have nearly as many side quests as an Elder Scrolls game. It’s not hard to imagine investing 100+ hours into this game, it is that good. It’s good that the bugs and glitches only serve as a reminder that it is a very big game. One that easily hooks you on the world and its struggles.

Wasteland 3 will consume your life as it did mine. The game makes progression come across so naturally through its narrative focused world-building made by player choice. During the countless quests across impressive setpieces, I would say Wasteland 3 is one of the best entries in the RPG genre. Throw in accessible leveling features, likable characters, and wrap them up with an engaging cover-based battle system, and you have everything you need to keep you playing for months.

Overall I felt Wasteland 3 to be an amazing successor to a great franchise and had me addicted within the first 10 minutes of play.

Wasteland 3 offers a really fun and deep strategy experience that fans of post-apocalyptic stories will love, but it has some technical problems and fans of the series may be dissapointed by the lack of new modes.

About as close as possible to the dream game I had in my head when I played the original Fallout. Essential.

A terrifying vision of future America, that already seems worryingly accurate, and also one of the most open-ended role-playing games of recent years, with a smart line in dark comedy.

Wasteland 3 balances solid turn-based gameplay with strong, tongue-in-cheek storytelling. Longtime fans of the series may despise the new streamlined interface, but those who were intimidated by Wasteland 2's dated presentation may find this one easier to approach.

Wasteland 3 is great. Brian Fargo delivers an excellent RPG as a farewell to the old generation of consoles. This game offers tons of options to shape the world, make decisions, and suffer the consequences. Despite some flaws, Wasteland 3 also offers a good combat system and keeps the player entertained.

Wasteland 3 is a great ride and fans of the genre should thoroughly enjoy it. It’s an added bonus that familiarity with Wasteland 2 is really not a pre-requisite for picking up Wasteland 3 – the game is accessible and holds up in its own right.

Wasteland 3 is a delight to experience with some of the most engaging RPG mechanics in the series to date. Its dense and detailed world is only outshone by the character and its cast of vibrant and wacky characters, who are all brought to life by the introduction of voiced dialogue. If you're a fan of RPGs, isometric-adventure games or turn-based combat, Wasteland 3 is an absolute must.

Reviewing Wasteland 3 was tough. It's always hard to do justice to a product that you thoroughly enjoy, but one that simply doesn't work as it should. This game was destined for glory, but it trips at the final yard line, and I can't overlook that in good conscience - it would be unfair to you, the reader, and it wouldn't be right. If Wasteland 3 wasn't marred with technical issues, it would be flying in the high 9's territory, but as it is... well... it is what it is.

When we think of post-apocalyptic games, the Fallout series is the one that most people think of. With its (now) first-person gameplay, hunting down Ghouls and Mutants, to collecting loot and doing quests for its quite often bizarre cast of characters. However Fallout owes a lot of its gameplay to a franchise that’s been quietly hiding in the background waiting for its time to re-emerge from its slumber.

Wasteland 3 is a competent RPG that struggles to distinguish itself from the many other entries of the genre. With such games, the mechanics are all relatively the same, and the writing, choices, and world-building are so much more important. And in these areas, Wasteland 3 is proficient, but not overly impressive.

So, when all is said and done, Wasteland 3 provides a character-filled, tactically challenging gameplay experience, providing you have the patience to get to it. Even with that said though, I certainly have enjoyed my time with the game, and I have every intention to keep on playing it.

Wasteland 3 is a fantastic post-apocalyptic RPG. Great writing, satisfying, tactical combat, and a world full of memorable characters and meaningful player choice make this a no-brainer for fans of the genre. If you can look past the bugs, there's so much to love about this deliciously dark humoured excursion.
