The sheer personality of each character might be enough for those vaguely interested in the My Hero Academia craze to give this one a shot.

If you're a fan of the anime, you're going to enjoy this and you might even come to enjoy the flawed fighting mechanics. For anybody else, My Hero One's Justice 2 is just another aggressively mediocre anime fighter, the latest in a long line of them.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 makes surprisingly few changes to its predecessors’ style but brings nearly double the roster to its flashy fights in what remains a solid arena fighter.

What it does, it does competently, but My Hero One’s Justice 2 has a long way to go before it can claim the King of Fighters title.

What does it say about My Hero One’s Justice 2 when I can’t even recommend it to My Hero Academia fans? Not only did I not enjoy my time with the game, I felt offended that my favourite characters and stories were being butchered in such a terrible game. Worst of all, it feels like a disservice to Kohei Horikoshi’s brilliant work.

The newest game of My Hero Academia covers one of the best arcs of the anime, and even if it feels a bit formulaic the game takes advantage of the characters so it doesn't feel stale too quickly.

U.A. High School’s heroes and their villainous rivals return for another round in My Hero Justice 2, complete with a bigger cast that builds on the fun combat of the first game. Unfortunately, the story mode remains bare-bones, which represents a big missed opportunity for a game whose roots lie in storytelling. It’s still a fun anime fighter that’s easy to pick up and enjoy. But it also could have been so much better.

The roster now stands at around 40 fighters featuring characters through the end of the Shie Hassaikai arc in the fourth season of the anime. If you were really concerned with having the latest heroes and villains to play with in the arena, then I suppose your prayers have been answered. For anyone else, My Hero One's Justice was already a tough sell, and now that I can't even get past the title screen without the game freezing I cannot recommend this lazy sequel at all.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 is a treat for fans of the series. For non-fans, it’s a capable over-the-shoulder arena fighter, with a host of fun and very different characters to avail from.

My Hero One's Justice 2 continues from where its predecessor left off but struggles to find its own legs in the hugely popular MHA franchise

My Hero One’s Justice 2 is a solid sequel and will resonate well with existing fans of the series. It has a much expanded roster of characters and it’s new modes help break up the repetitive structure of the fights. I would have loved an English dub option as I feel the series fully deserves it though. Based on the structure of it’s storytelling, it is hard to give the game an all-round recommendation, but for those that have some knowledge of the franchise’s story and characters, One’s Justice 2 will provide you with an enjoyable experience.

While it’s definitely a casual anime arena fighter, there are definitely worse examples. The game has a certain flow to the fights that feels really good to play. Despite some performance issues and overly simple gameplay, it still offers some fun. If you enjoyed the first one, then chances are you’ll also enjoy this iteration as well.

My Hero One's Justice 2 on the Nintendo Switch is bursting with content that doesn't seem to end and with its simple combat system and addictive game modes, it will be a delight for the fans of the My Hero Academia series. Strangely enough, its less exciting component is the campaign mode, as the game's plot doesn't do a great favour to the moment of the series it's based on, and some decisions are difficult to understand. Overall, this is a game mostly aimed at big fans of the series and less so at newcomers.

For a fan of the franchise who wants to have a good time managing their favorite characters, or for those players who are not looking for something excessively complex, the game fulfills its role, and it can be enjoyed wonderfully. We can say, therefore, that My Hero One’s Justice 2 makes us feel like real heroes… or villains.

This one could have used more development time and I really hope that whatever game development is done next with My Hero Academia learns from these mistakes.

With tons of playable characters, great changes to its core fighting, and lots of things to do for those who want to dive in, My Hero One's Justice 2 is a sequel that goes beyond Plus Ultra. It's more for fans than fighters, but the overall experience is welcoming to anyone who wants to throw down in the hero world.

My Hero One's Justice 2 is a disappointing game as a follow-up to its predecessor. There was plenty of room to make improvements but sadly it is just another repetitive arena brawler capitalizing on fan-service.

Bottom line, the second part is a praise worthy successor and improves the game in many ways. However, we recommend only 7 points, just like the previous one. The fault is technical mistakes, which are often worse than the previous part. So even if it is a better battle title with greater depth, we can recommend it as much as number one.

A solid sequel that expands and improves many aspects of the original game, but also repeats some of same mistakes. Fans of the anime/manga will enjoy it.
