Bleeding Edge may be free for Game Pass subscribers but in no way is that an incentive to play it. I genuinely can’t express how irate and bored it made me feel. Cool character designs and a nifty loadout feature are not enough to keep me hanging onto this game. It’s infuriating to play, provides very little gratification and there are far better options.

Slender launch content aside, Ninja Theory's first venture into competitive multiplayer ranks among the most joyously-frenzied brawlers of this generation.

Bleeding Edge is quite a cool casual game for existing XBOX Games Pass subscribers. It delivers something different to the ordinary arena-based combat shooter and should be experienced by those who have the luxury of getting their hands on it.

Even if Bleeding Edge has many elements that know of already seen (literally S4 League + Overwatch), Ninja Theory has still managed to make a fresh but above all fun game that comes straight to the heart (and heart) proposing a pressing pace to his games that fortunately end before they become frustrating. This promotes extreme playability both if you want to play a fast game and if you want to spend the whole evening grinding match after match with your friends. At launch, however, Bleeding Edge doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of maps and content, but if that's the case and we'll see more and more updates from the development team in the coming months, we're sure Bleeding Edge will be talking about itself for a long time to come.

All in all, Bleeding Edge on Xbox One is just pure fun. It’s a tight, fast thrill-ride that keeps me playing which, as someone who predominantly plays single-player, is not easy to do. While it certainly isn’t what some fans of Ninja Theory may be expecting, it is still a great first collaboration from what will likely be one of Xbox Game Studios’ finest teams.

Bleeding Edge is a completely average title, lacking any new ideas. The only things it has going for it are the visuals and combat, but those won't keep you playing for too long.

Bleeding Edge puts its own spin on the competitive multiplayer formula, but fails to stand out even with its fun action-packed gameplay.

Bleeding Edge has one major mistake. It tries to be in the spotlight so badly, that it overlooks the fact, that this show already has its own stars. Even though concept of heroes shooters managed to compile in the good-looking way, Bleeding Edge proves, that good concept and potencial isn't enought without a good use. Heroes are interesting compliation of everything we've seen and maps are well-down spectacle. Gameplay is unfortunately chaos, specially without proper teammates, who would jump into crazy arenas alongside with you. Bleeding Edge is one huge gathering of great but also drained ideas bonded together with poor glue, which hold the game barely together.

Bleeding Edge doesn’t really do much right. In a game where the melee combat is supposed to be its bread and butter, Bleeding Edge’s is clunky and unsatisfying. With only two game modes at the time of this review, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for variety between each match and you’ll quickly find yourself in a cycle of rinsing and repeating until you’re left wanting more and not being offered anything else.

Bleeding Edge is a new IP that aims to bring novelties to the genre, with a very particular style and great ambitions, but that nevertheless falls short in many aspects and still has many areas in which to improve.

Bleeding Edge isn’t the game I expected from Ninja Theory but definitely the game I wanted to see out of this studio. Seeing the developer behind DmC: Devil May Cry go out and create something creatively different just makes me really happy as someone who is part of this very niche audience.

Bleeding Edge has the typical multiplayer fun that's built-in by default. Wide range of playable characters allow the gamers to spend plenty of time in theory-crafting their strategies. On the other hand, the depth of the lore doesn't really attach those characters to the back story as much. While the game relies on gathering with other players to battle, it's also the only content worth mentioning as many of the other aspects lack in standing out.

Bleeding Edge is a surprisingly enjoyable, fun and originally styled online experience. Although its approach may initially seem too simplistic in the formula, in reality the game of Ninja Theory hides a deep and well-kept gameplay that, to be mastered, needs time and training.

Bleeding Edge is a online 4v4 brawler in which two teams fight to control objectives. The combat in the game feels satisfying and the characters are well balanced. Teamwork is very important and therefore as a solo player it can be frustrating when your team doesn’t work together. It’s a shame that there is very little content in the game. Updates with more fighters, gamemodes and maps are desperately needed to keep Bleeding Edge fresh and entertaining.
