While a little more direction and a better interface would have been nice, my head has been stuck in the clouds ever since my first jaw-dropping flight. I can’t think of a better time for the sort of freedom it provides. If you have an Xbox Series X, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.
It is completely devoid of action. You are the one who’ll have to look for an objective to complete in it. But there’s something about it that makes it addictive and irresistible. It’s such a relaxing game that asks very little from you. It literally gives the entire world for you to explore, with an astonishing degree of realism, with simple controls and a laid-back atmosphere.

I don’t think I’m being unfair at all to Microsoft Flight Simulator to say that suggesting a purchase for those outside of the flight sim fanatic crowd is complicated. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, however, this is one of the easiest recommendations I can make, even if I’m still a ways out from being able to formulate any sort of final opinion. This is an exciting and enthralling video game experience the likes of which rarely come around, and if you’re already paying Microsoft a subscription fee, there should be nothing stopping you from giving it a try.
Despite small quirks, MS Flight Simulator is also a great experience on Xbox Series X/S. Beginners can book a flight with peace of mind.

Free from graphics cards, drivers, and other PC trappings, Microsoft Flight Simulator is the most accessible flight simulator ever made. With the most minor of concessions, it also manages to be the best looking game the Xbox Series X has on offer to date. With the right control surface, you too can slip the surly bonds of Earth, and when it looks this good and plays this well, I highly recommend it.
Net of some necessary compromises, Microsoft Flight Simulator presents itself on Xbox Series X in a solid and complete guise, to be considered next-gen from almost every point of view. The frame rate anchored on 30 fps may seem like a slide of no small importance, but we assure you how it does not affect an overall experience as pleasant as it is unique in its kind. The latest effort of Asobo Studio and Microsoft replenishes the Xbox Game Pass console catalog with a project that lived up to the quality achieved on PC a year earlier, with an unchanged charm and capable of giving emotions to the most attentive and patient players.

Microsoft Flight Simulator runs amazingly well on the Xbox Series X and has been a surreal experience that will stay with me for some time. The revised tutorials and new discovery tours are superbly designed to explore wonderful locations in beautiful detail, as well as optimisations for the PC version available at the launch on consoles. It’s an experience that every type of gamer should witness for themselves.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is a spectacular technical achievement and a deeply inspiring experience, filled with glorious possibilities.
There's no better title currently on Xbox Series; a completely enjoyable experience on console, which makes you forget about the PC. A technical feat for aviation simulators that has made history and that will take you by the hand for hundreds of hours of flight.
