Sticky Business is perhaps the most basic management game I've had the opportunity to try, but that doesn't take away from its qualities in delivering a pleasant experience to players. I believe that its target audience is casual players, who are looking for an activity to pass the time and relax, or even children, as the sticker creation tool is an excellent option to stir the imagination of the youngest.

Dragon Quest Treasures is a charismatic action RPG that manages to reflect the sparkle of a great adventure with the innocent look of a child. It is recommended for those who like games focused on exploration and can yield hundreds of hours of fun without compromise.

Hyper Meteor is fast and addictive arcade action. Slamming into enemy weaknesses is simple, but the variety of hazards and increasing difficulty make matches frantic and exciting. The focus is on making long combos and achieving high scores, but other modes bring diversity. Sometimes the randomness and simplicity of the content is annoying, but unlockables, a colorful look and short matches alleviate these problems. In the end, Hyper Meteor is hard to put down.

Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening fulfills with excellence the mission of honoring the series' 40 birthday, presenting countless strategic possibilities within all its systems. For lovers of the genre, there's enough content here to enjoy for dozens, if not hundreds, of hours. As for the novices, it is necessary to be aware that many attempts may be necessary to master the mechanics; however, once understood, it will be difficult to stop playing.

Having experimented the demo version some months ago and the supposedly final product now, it's evident that Lakeburg Legacies unfortunately didn't manage to be molded into a consistent product, lacking polish to the point sometimes it doesn't even feel finalized. This is a curious simulator with a really interesting concept but it doesn't live up to its position as a full game. It'd have been a better decision to make it an early access title instead of the full release as it is right now.

Invector: Rhythm Galaxy combines rhythm and visual in an excellent musical journey. Controlling the ship according to the beat is enticing, especially due to the constant style changes in the stages. Beyond that, the atmosphere is impressive with colorful and bright scenery that pulsates along with the eclectic soundtrack. Some elements could have been more polished, like the difficulty curve and the visual chaos, and there are few new features when comparing it to the previous title. Compelling and offering a good challenge, Invector: Rhythm Galaxy is a harmonious experience recommended for fans of the genre.

The entire identity of Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is in the charisma emanating from the art and characters that make Mara an archipelago endowed with a community personality, where everyone knows everyone else. It's a lovely piece of work, very well done, with the potential to win the sympathy of anyone who lets himself be carried away by the unpretentious adventure. The gameplay is also light, but in an ambivalent tone; even if the set satisfies as a 3D platformer and is accessible to little ones, the ideas cling to a superficiality that doesn't sail with the same captivating quality as Koa and his pirate friends.

Mr. Run and Jump manages to blend the vibe of old platformers with modern elements without really appealing to nostalgia. Even with its high difficulty right from the start, it's a great title for those who just want to enjoy a good old-fashioned challenge.

Dungeon Travelers 2 is a solid dungeon crawler experience and an eye-catching game with its beautiful female characters' illustrations. Though it is likely to please hardcore gamers interested in both styles of game, the user experience leaves a lot to be desired nowadays, making it a little hard to recommend it when compared to other games in the market.

Lost in Play is an experience that embraces all players for an adventure that oozes charisma, creativity, fun and accessibility. The launch for mobile devices expands the offer of what is one of the most cozy and pleasant games I had the opportunity to experience in 2023. A great recommendation for all ages.

VanillaBeast: Retro Knock-Out! aims to deliver a complete retro experience and I can say that Vanilla Gaming Company managed to deliver what they wanted. Its charming graphics are very reminiscent of old games, as well as its high difficulty, which can also be a factor that puts some players off. Its history and collectibles leave something to be desired, as they do not deliver interesting content and could be better worked on. But ignoring that, it's possible to have a lot of fun—and frustration—with boxing matches.

With a really solid gameplay, it's clear Cross Tails had potential to shine even brighter. However, the lack of care to the sound aspect leaves a gap that can't be crossed for the game to reach what it could have been. Despite this issue, it's a good option for tactics RPG fans, as it has an interesting plot divided into two distinct campaigns and it offers a great variety of classes allowing the player to explore their creativity with varied builds.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Definitive Edition immerses us in its elaborate tactical puzzle combat. The basic mechanics are quite simple, but the nuances, the different units and the RPG elements make the encounters densely strategic and addictive. The extensive campaign with different types of battles and the functional multiplayer mode are able to keep us hooked for many hours, despite some balancing issues. The relaunch received the "definitive" monicker, but it is more like a simple adaptation: there are few new features and some negative aspects of the original, such as the numerous loading screens, remain untouched. Even so, the game still offers quality content and is a great opportunity to meet it on new platforms.

Viewfinder is a puzzle game that, on the surface, does the genre justice. Starting from a remarkable concept and presented through well thought out mechanics, deep down the game is limited in developing its ideas to more complex and surprising levels. Just like the gameplay, the narrative and visual aesthetics are always pleasant and keep the appeal of quiet fun, but the undeveloped potential is very clear. Even though it's a good game while it lasts, its moderation in exploring its own limits prevents it from being memorable and putting itself alongside the great puzzle titles.

Scarf is a likeable and charismatic adventure, but it fails to stand out enough to deserve a major dedication of our time. The puzzles are creative, the platforming gameplay is minimally satisfying, and the art direction manages to convey positive feelings. However, once completed, this is a journey that is easily forgotten.

Gylt takes a smart approach by integrating the theme of bullying, an important and current issue, into a horror adventure game. Through fun gameplay, it manages to get its message across in an engaging way without unnecessarily prolonging it. Although there may be some setbacks that may cause annoyance, it is undeniable how consistent and pleasant the overall game is, making these problems small when compared to the total experience that the title provides.

Ray’z Arcade Chronology is a series that fit the HD treatment well. It was innovative in its time and still is an excellent choice for those who love Taito's classic shoot ‘em ups. Keeping the collection from being impeccable, this edition doesn't highlight the console versions of the trilogy and all the options they offered, and it could have invested in its historical value, sharing a little more of the Ray franchise's trajectory.
