Even with these problems, I had an absolute blast in Enoch, and I still am. The game doesn’t end when the credits roll, and there’s still so much left I can do. Not to mention, I could always re-roll another class.

Give this one a try, it’s a one time purchase and I think you will get your money’s worth, especially if you enjoy shooting and looting.

Outriders is a boring game to play solo, with a lack of any real end-game content and bugs that may wipe all of your progress it's probably best to wait for a sale for this one.

Outriders is far from perfect. But a game doesn't have to be when it facilitates such a high degree of fun and interesting gameplay mechanics.

The thing that makes or breaks a live looter shooter is it’s ongoing support. I’m excited to see where Outrider’s endgame may go and what tweaks may be made to improve the game in the year’s to come. Outriders was a surprisingly solid looter-shooter and I haven’t been as addicted to a game of this type since the original Destiny launched back in 2014. Whether you play completely solo or with a group of friends, there’s a lot to keep you engaged and coming back to Outriders even though it does have some hurdles to overcome.

Despite the many loading screens and some issues, the game will give you hours of entertaining gameplay, it might take you a while before you shelf it.

Judging the game by the experience as it is now, I certainly had a good time with it, particularly when I could find a party to play with. However, if you’re only intending to play solo and want a good sci-fi cover shooter, the experience will eventually wear out its welcome as you hit the endgame.

While it might appear to be just another cover shooter on the surface, Outriders' excellent class abilities, aggressive combat and engaging loot systems allow it to stand toe to toe with some of the genre's greats.

Despite the obvious uncertainties in the first game sequences, Outriders was able to conquer us. What might have seemed like a classic shooter in dynamics and uncertain in the story has instead proved to be a shooter with assuring gameplay, and able to stand out for its density and richness of content. The campaign unfortunately remains subdued on the narrative front, but the gameplay sculpted by People Can Fly has something magnetic.

There's plenty of shortcomings in Outriders - from gameplay standpoint and to massive amount of techincal hickups. But even so, the deep and rewarding role playing system can make up for some of it. If you love the looter-shooter genre, than wait for Outriders to get a price drop, or simply try the game with Game Pass.

Outriders could have become a successful looter-shooter/MMO, but the server issues and macro developer mistakes place the game below other equals. Shortcomings in the narrative, dialogues, sound effects, and AI are so severe that can not be overlooked. The game has impressive looting and customization (the singular thing that does right!), but the repetitive gameplay, unbalanced difficulty and especially server connection issues, and unavailability of the coop with friends offer nothing but frustration and disappointment. You should really leave this game aside.

After a positive impression from the demo version, we bumped into a game that was less than expected, the fun of the gameplay loop and the looting system did not make up for the poor story and its boring tasks, and the poor quality of the servers that made matters worse, as it was an incomplete experience that reminds me of the game Anthem

Solid, but generic. That sums up Outriders perfectly. An ultra nervous and particularly naughty looter TPS that will still offer some fun moments between friends.

Outriders tend to suffer at some points, as well as other cases of games that have mirrored established franchises. The game manages to be successful in taking references and using them to follow its own path. Its frantic gameplay, the protagonist's distinctive charisma, the absence of microtransactions and a robust and complete story, unlike other games that tend to divide the content, help to balance these points, making the experience promising and attractive for veterans and beginners who seek a friendly gateway to the genre.

An addictive gameplay loop that’s worth it for fans of shoot and loots willing to put up with some serious launch woes, but a wait and see for the rest of us.

Outriders has been struggling with various problems since launch. The servers are now stable, at least I can speak for Xbox and Stadia, and fortunately I have been spared the worst bugs. The developer "People Can Fly" works daily in the background on the stability as well as availability of the game and keeps the community up to date at all times. You can get first-hand information via Twitter and Reddit. With Outriders, a shooter was created that unites gamers of all platforms via crossplay, but unfortunately does not support crosssave. Personally, I'm extremely annoyed that you have to collect the mods again for each character. After more than 50 hours, I still don't have all of them from level 2, let alone the third. The story surprised me because it's actually pretty good. I didn't expect to be served a viable story to such a shooter. Not one sequence or conversation did I want to skip, which is saying a lot. I'm having an incredible amount of fun with Outriders, but you also have to be patient, because not everything runs as smoothly as the developer would like. Especially a bug that deletes your entire inventory is still being acutely analyzed, although changes have already been made on the server side. Therefore, I only recommend Outriders to a limited extent. If you can wait, you should do so at the moment. In a few weeks, the shooter will surely run very stable and largely bug-free. If you disregard the problems and think a few weeks into the future, Outriders is/will be a clear buy recommendation.
