Scott Pilgrim Vs The World - Complete Edition is a side scrolling beat-em-up, similar to Streets of Rage. It has a unique soundtrack and very well done artistic and graphic work. This is a really enjoyable game to play. Although it has some bugs, in general it is a very polished game. It includes several new features compared to its 2010 version, including an online mode that still needs to be refined. Otherwise it is a game that must be played.

It's felt like an eternity since we've seen this title on our Xbox systems, and having a Complete Edition with touched up visuals and all previously released content is an absolute treat. SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD COMPLETE EDITION is a compilation of game contents released in 2010 with all its additions more than being a remaster. If you went through the original before, there is no need to repeat it with this version because it adds nothing to your experience, but if you did not have the opportunity to try it before, you can do so with this full version, especially if you find someone to share this adventure with.

At the end of the day, it’s just nice to see things like this happen.
Overall, Scott Pilgrim vs The World is one of the better side-scrolling 2D beat 'em ups I have played. The difficulty, especially early on when you feel underpowered, remains an issue. The game is dripping with charm though and despite the frustrations it kept me coming back for more and wanting to fill out my upgrades with different characters. Hopefully, the online stability can improve, completing a worthwhile return for the once banished gem.
While the complete edition is a fun blast from the past Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game it is just that. It's a game from a different time that has some trouble keeping up with the new games in town. The addition of an online co-op is nice though.

The retro audio and graphics perfectly fit the game's style, but that alone was not enough to save a game that failed on the core essentials of a beat 'em up.

This is as straight forward as a beat 'em up title gets and since it was first released, this genre has seen some changes since it first came out but the charisma and the character that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World brings to the table, makes it a title still worth experiencing after 10 years or so.
