Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game – Complete Edition is an enjoyable throwback to beat 'em up games and having access to the game with all the DLC after its several year hiatus is a welcome return.
Back when Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game was originally released, it proved that retro-inspired gameplay was still in high demand. Over 10 years later, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game now proves that the game has held up incredibly well.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World is still a very fun game even after 11 years since its original release. It's simple yet beautiful art design and audio effects makes the beat 'em up gameplay even more engaging and especially for those who have enjoyed watching the Scott Pilgrim movie, the game is a must have.

Great movie-tie-in game that has awesome references to both the movie and comic series. Grinding will be required if you don't want to get your butt kicked!
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition manages to give the players a good "beat 'em up" experience. It has good pixel art graphics and excellent chiptune music that are entirely suitable for this genre. There are some online Co-op problems, and some of the overall designs may feel old, but all and all, it is an enjoyable "beat 'em up."

I am glad that I missed out on Scott Pilgrim the first time around because I don’t know if I would have appreciated it as much then, as I do now. Beat ’em up’s are generally not the type of games I enjoy, however Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game has probably changed my mind. I am motivated to play more games in this genre.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is the game to play if you love old-school 2D beat-em-ups. However, you really need to love the genre to love this game. If you thought that Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy was old-school to a fault, I’d be cautious about picking up this game. Also, the online is just as antiquated as the game genre.
Despite having a few specific problems, new and old, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition arrives with the same quality and fun as the original version from over a decade ago.

The extra featured content does not justify a new purchase for those who have already gone through the adventures of Scott Pilgrim. But for anyone who knows the comics or the movie and has not played the game the new version is a good way to have hours of fun, preferably with a group of friends in coop mode.
Barring its numerous bugs and shoddy netcode, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition captures the spirit of the IP quite well. The leveling system makes the title a bit of a cakewalk, but the presentation makes up for its shortcomings.
A fine beat 'em up which didn't lose its charm and still has the same issues as it did ten years ago. It's unfortunate that the gameplay hasn't changed at all but the game is still pretty good.

Ultimately, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition requires a bit of legwork to get the best out of it. It’s worth it though, especially when you also take into consideration the game’s wonderful animation and kick-ass soundtrack. The additional characters and modes brought into the fold make it excellent value for money, too. So, whether you’re a devout Scott Pilgrim fan, or seeking out yet another side-scrolling beat ’em up to add to your collection, you’d be wise to give it a go.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World - Complete Edition is a side scrolling beat-em-up, similar to Streets of Rage. It has a unique soundtrack and very well done artistic and graphic work. This is a really enjoyable game to play. Although it has some bugs, in general it is a very polished game. It includes several new features compared to its 2010 version, including an online mode that still needs to be refined. Otherwise it is a game that must be played.

While its early difficulty may deter some people, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game's complexity and how it opens up makes for a highly enjoyable experience. It's felt like an eternity since we've seen this title on our Xbox systems, and having a Complete Edition with touched up visuals and all previously released content is an absolute treat. Whether you're a fan of the series or a newcomer to the genre, there's something here to enjoy, and it's a reminder of why so many fell in love with the original game all those years ago.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition is still an incredibly polished and fun beat ‘em up that has truly stood the test of time. While it’s slightly annoying that playing with the other characters requires you to replay entire levels and that the online features and a full playable fighter are currently locked behind Ubisoft’s ridiculous server sign-in, in the end this is still a great title deserving of its re-release.
