Powerstar Golf Reviews
Powerstar Golf has last-gen looks but incorporates forward-thinking features, and is a fun way to hit the links.
Despite its exaggerated cartoon characters and picturesque sunsets, Powerstar Golf feels surprisingly staid and lacking personality. This is further exacerbated by the isolating feeling that, without sofa buddies, you're always playing alone.
Powerstar Golf blends time-tested mechanics with a unique style, rewarding your hard work with a pleasant sense of accomplishment. As long as you don't let the microtransactions ruin it for you, you're all but guaranteed to have a good time.
An excellent debut that blends the basics of the sport with light fantasy
Powerstar Golf balances smart social features and tight core gameplay with shaky economics
Powerstar Golf sticks to tried-and-true methods to deliver a reliably enjoyable take on the sport.
Engaging and fun to play, Powerstar Golf is a nice sport game for people who are not looking for a rigorous simulation. The value-for-price ratio is quite good.

Powerstar Golf doesn't change much to the formula of pleasant casual golf titles. Though it's more difficult than it needs to be, is slightly short on content, and is focused on randomized upgrades, Powerstar Golf fits well within the genre, doesn't cost much at all, and give even the best pros a run for their money.
In the end, Powerstar Golf isn't particularly special, but it'll win over the hearts of golf fans for sure. If all you're looking to do is whack a ball down a course on a next-gen system with the occasional bit of positive reinforcement, Powerstar is your huckleberry.
Zoe Mode's Xbox One golf game delivers the bare essentials, plus a few unappealing frills.
At the end of day Powerstar Golf isn't a must own game, but it does stand as a downloadable title that Xbox One owners may want to seriously look at as it offers up a nice change of pace from the big budget launch games during the winter gaming season.
Powerstar Golf doesn't quite match up with its contemporaries, but it's a solid first effort from Zoe Mode longtime golf gamers will appreciate.
PowerStar Golf doesn't reinvent the golf-game wheel, but it's a pleasant, laid-back diversion with a fun design sense and great camera controls that outweigh its relatively inoffensive microtransaction system.
It's neither revolutionary, nor a next-gen leap, but Powerstar Golf is a cheery, entertaining experience regardless. We'll be coming back to this for weeks.
Powerstar Golf is the most classic of arcade golf games. A good characterization of the characters, combined with a more than discreet variety of objects and styles for the protagonists and simple and immediate game mechanics, guarantee its usability for a very large number of players. If you're looking for a low-budget game alongside your killer app, this could really be for you.

A good and solid launch game. If this is a sign of where indie sports are heading, we're on board.
I've reflected this in the score. If you LOVE golf games, feel free to bump that number up as high as you like, but for me it sits in the middle of our score band, nothing bad about it, but nothing great either.
Powerstar Golf is a competent game, but it is incomplete. Players will quickly find themselves longing for more features, a bigger roster, and more finely tuned gameplay. Due to a lack of content and some difficulty imbalances, the game is difficult to recommend.
Powerstar Golf is a game that's unpolished in places, but also superbly fun and dangerously addictive at times. Mastering the game will take a fair amount of time, and there's no doubt in our minds that what you get is easily worth the asking price. Well worth a spin.
