Demeo Reviews
Demeo is a delightfully-distilled tabletop RPG experience for up to four players that fits just as well in VR as it does on PC or PlayStation.
With three adventures already available and more to come, Demeo is not only a homage to classic table top RPGs, but it’s been crafted in a way to faithfully recreate the feel as well. It offers thrilling gameplay, a great opportunity to play with friends and strangers alike, all sharing a love of role-playing and fantasy.
Demeo is a fun and accessible digital board game, evoking games like HeroQuest with its turn-based dungeon-crawling. In VR it's a pleasingly tactile experience that's great to share with co-op friends, but if you need or prefer to play on a TV screen? Well that's still good too.
Demeo: PC Edition lacks some of the more physical entertainment of the VR edition, but it's no less enjoyable as a game. There are few bells or whistles here; it's all about enjoying the run and trying to survive as monsters fall to your spells and attacks, and feeling incredible every time you do.
The excitement of tabletop gaming is typically not translated well in video games, but Demeo: PC Edition hits a wonderful middle ground of electronic and physical gaming. While it may not be the perfect attempt, it lands a critical hit more often than it misses, giving gamers one of the best recreations of the medium in digital form.
Demeo is an essential game for PSVR 2 owners. The addictive gameplay loop is perfect for cooperative play and due to this, you will form alliances and forge memories of epic quests. The intuitive controls remove any frustrations and allow you to concentrate on the tough journey ahead. While it may be a little too difficult on your own, the multiplayer experience is incredible.
Whether you have a group of friends to play with or feel like conquering the campaigns alone, you’ll have a blast no matter what. Demeo is easy to pick up and difficult to master, although it should be noted that the social space Heroes Hangout is inexplicably absent from this version. Nevertheless, it has a slew of content, a fun and strategic gameplay loop, stunning visual detail, and superb virtually reality implementation that all help to create a fully immersive tabletop title like no other.
In the end, Demeo does that most unexpected of things - it provides a deep and highly enjoyable tabletop RPG experience for folks who are typically put off by the notion of setting up a board, potentially losing important figures, worrying about missing dice and all that other nonsense. Absent such tedious administrative concerns and with clear design, tactile physical feedback and easily grasped mechanics that ensure everyone can play, Demeo is a shining example of how to translate one of the most socially beloved hobbies into an all new digital realm.
Demeo is perfect for scratching a dungeon-crawling itch and is great for those who want to connect with friends in a tabletop setting, but don't have the time for a full campaign. With patches to fix glitches and balance difficulty, Demeo will be a great option for anyone wanting a short, action-packed adventure with friends.
Brilliant simulation of a traditional dungeon crawler board game with a decent variety of enemies. I can't wait for the release of the next dungeon.

Demeo is pure, uncut geek wish fulfillment. If nights spent in the basement playing a living, breathing board game with your buddies sounds like something you would enjoy, then don't hesitate to grab this fantastic tabletop RPG sim in it's best current incarnation on PS VR 2. Tons of content, a wicked level of difficulty, and spectacular visuals all combine to make this the best board game night of all time. Better with friends (they don't need PS VR 2, but it helps), Demeo can provide some howlingly fun dungeon crawling.
Demeo is a great game if you want to relax with a small group of friends and play a turn-based virtual tabletop RPG.
Demeo is a fantastic dungeon-crawler, and a perfect addition to the PSVR2 library. Demonstrating a visual clarity not seen on any other platform, the PlayStation VR2 version is the best possible platform. This is an easy recommendation and a must-have for any PSVR2 owner.
Though Demeo nails the quality tabletop experience in VR, as well as creates an incredible social space, it's thin amount of content makes it hard to recommend at its price point.
Demeo: PC Edition is going to be a fun game. It has all the makings of a game that a group of dedicated people will play consistently. Having the mixture of RPG, action, DnD, and card gaming create this harmonious experience that is simple as it is fun, but in a strategic complicated manner.
Demeo is a roguelike dungeon crawler RPG by Resolution Games. The team goes a long way to recreate the feel of playing tabletop RPGs and miniature RPG lite board games but in a VR environment. Did they succeed? Check it out in our review.
Demeo is an excellent dungeon-crawling adventure that is fun playing by yourself but even more so with others in the community. You can play it without VR but it feels much more immersive inside the headset as you actually perform the actions.
Demeo is a remarkable concept that works incredibly well on the Quest 2. Its lack of content and essential features holds it back. Not counting any repeated playthroughs or attempts, you'll likely see everything there is to see in a couple of hours. While new and potentially free content is on the horizon, the current price of $30 feels a touch steep. When Demeo adds some essential features, like a level editor or a save function, and some more dungeons, it could become one of the go-to VR experiences for RPG fans. It hasn't reached that lofty goal yet, though.
I'm having a lot of fun with Demeo and look forward to enjoying more online matches within its tricky monster-filled dungeons. It may ache my neck looking down for so long but in the end, I'd say it's worth it for the amount of fun that it offers.
"Demeo" on PS5 offers players everywhere a chance to experience one of the greatest VR board games available without having to buy an expensive headset.
