Anchored by a fun and engaging combat system, Scarlet Nexus puts the emphasis on action, which offers stylish combos and flashy visual effects. Features like SAS and the Bond Episodes show the willingness of Bandai Namco to expand their repertoire and are put to great effect here. Sadly, repetitiveness bogs Scarlet Nexus down, especially towards the end. With a less than compelling storyline to go through, battles will tend to feel routine, and this is further weighed down by some bits of uninspired level design and excessively large areas that take you around in circles.
It's hard to recommend Scarlet Nexus. Despite being a great RPG, with great action and solid mechanics, it's story doesn't do a very good job to keep ups interested. Still, it lays out a great setup for a strong and better sequel.

Scarlet Nexus is possibly one of Bandai Namco's best games. Its deep combat system and a plot that makes you want to know more at every step make the game a highly recommended product for lovers of the ARPG genre.

Scarlet Nexus is a really great new IP from Bandai Namco that is hopefully the start of an ongoing franchise.
Scarlet Nexus is a Japanese A-RPG brings us to a brainpunk world where some terrible monsters known as alters want the humanity's end. As part of the FAS, we will use the wide range of options that this great title gives us to have varied, frenzy and fully customizable battles. All this with a design of scenarios and enemies will not leave you impassive, especially alters. A title I recommend to anyone who likes RPGs minimally and has a little time, because if we want to finish the game with both characters, we will have to spend approximately 45 hours depending on the difficulty and how long it takes.

Scarlet Nexus excites with its nimble combat and brainpunk atmosphere. It's ecstatic to use psychic powers to hurl objects at enemies, unleash elaborate combos, and perform stylish finishes — it's like being at the center of an action anime. The diversity of abilities offers several options in battles, being very rewarding to combine the powers of allies with the use of special objects to defeat the creatures. The linear structure of the adventure and the focus on combat are fine, but it's a shame that the variety of enemies and scenarios is limited. The setting inspired by Japanese animations is great, but the plot full of absurd narrative features and clichés is a disappointment. In the end, Scarlet Nexus offers an impressive action experience, despite its problems.

Scarlet Nexus is one of the better action RPGs to hit this current generation of consoles. It's a gorgeous game with a complicated backend that makes you want to keep playing. The side-quests might be forgettable, but it certainly has a lot more to offer with its main story.
Bandai Namco have yet to really miss the mark when it comes to their trademark anime games, but Scarlet Nexus isn't exactly a massive step forward. Instead, it's a serviceable - if at times great - sidestep that brings little else to the table beyond gloriously flashy gameplay and smoking style.
Scarlet Nexus is, simply put, an awesome game! An exciting story, two different perspectives, fun gameplay and different powers. I haven't played a JRPG that was this much fun in a long time. Of course, I can't neglect the negative aspects either. I would have liked to have an open world. A world where I can travel with Kasane different villages and cities and understand the story around the world better. Also, the cutscenes and the presentation are often very halting, which worsens the storyline by quite a bit. All in all, if you like JRPGs with hack and slash elements, you'll enjoy it. I also think that Scarlet Nexus could be a hot candidate for game of the year!

A triumphant new IP from Bandai Namco, Scarlet Nexus is probably the best RPG of the year so far. Its compellingly dark story will keep you guessing through two necessary playthroughs, while its engaging psychokinetic combat is in a class of its own, albeit with exceptionally streamlined progression. Throwing your toys around has never been so much fun.
While its story falls short, Scarlet Nexus is expertly elevated with stunning combat. The consistent evolution, polished control scheme, and powerful feedback make each fight more satisfying than the last. If only the game had managed to incorporate a stronger story, more depth to its character bonds, and more things to do outside of combat, Scarlet Nexus could have been something special. As it stands, it feels like a solid first step for a new IP, and one where a sequel could really steal the show.

What may look like an ordinary Japanese action game soon turns out to be so much more. In addition to battles that are as good-looking as they are tactical, we also get charismatic characters, a captivating story, and a well-developed universe. Unfortunately, both the story and the battles stumble upon themselves at times - and the environments often leave a lot to be desired. But despite the shortcomings, Scarlet Nexus is a surprisingly successful mix of action and JRPG – and a must have for anyone who wants an action game with a focus on story and depth.

Scarlet Nexus is, overall, a good experience, thanks to some interesting combat design and well thought out characters, although its limited gameplay reach and muddled story mean that it’s hard for me to praise it beyond that.
Its story will catch you practically from the first minute, and you will want to keep moving forward to discover all the secrets that its characters keep (and the script twists, which are not few). Thanks to its frenetic and colorful combat system we will be ojipláticos every corner, and the combats against the bosses are especially spectacular, even those that keep some secret under them. For all this I can not say anything other than that Scarlet Nexus is an outstanding game and that I think all lovers of Japanese games and Action RPG should enjoy.

Scarlet Nexus is yet another great game from Bandai Namco Studios. Its satisfying combat keeps things interesting, even in the early parts of the story when the plot feels dry. You're in for a great ride with Scarlet Nexus.
