Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Reviews
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands successfully puts a fantasy twist on the familiar looter shooter formula with great comedic writing, outstanding performances, and superb gunplay with tons of customization.
I would rank it right up there next to Borderlands 2 in terms of quality. The writing is fantastic, and the gameplay improvements, many of which were brought over from Borderlands 3, often put it a step beyond Borderlands 2. If you are at all a fan of the previous Borderlands games and their satisfying gameplay loops, you really cannot go wrong with this game.
At it's core it's a BORDERLANDS game through and through, move from area to area, completing missions while levelling up to collecting ever better gear, and it doesn't dramatically break that looter-shooter gameplay loop you'd would be familiar with. Where it does succeed is some genuinely heartfelt and funny writing that comes from a good understanding of what it's like to play tabletop roleplaying games with your mates.
n true Borderlands style, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands features the same graphical flair we all love, with its heavy outlines and amazing cel-shaded models. It has amazing vibrant and contrasting colors and the visuals are equally rivaled by the audio. The audio is as epic as always and smoothly transitions between the high-action insanity to the calm adventure tunes when exploring the lands. The only thing that trumps the soundtrack is the insanely good audio casting! Andy Samberg (Brooklyn 99, The Lonely Island) joins us as Captain Valentine, Wanda Sykes (Over The Hedge, Bad Moms) joins as Frette, Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman, Parks, and Recreation) is the menacing Dragonlord, and Ashley Burch reprises their role as the ever-insane Tiny Tina. There are also a few other roles that have been reprised and returning characters but you’ll have to experience the game and find out for yourself.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can be considered one of the best games of the franchise, if not one of the most successful titles of Gearbox; although the writing level does not reach the high level set by Borderlands 2 we are still faced with a completely crazy adventure, able to entertain for hours thanks to a gameplay formula well established and perfected.

Wonderlands is an outrageous, comedy-filled adventure that manages to both return to Borderlands’ roots while also offering fresh new takes on the iconic formula of the series. It’s packed with the irreverence the series is known for, and manages to capture a lot of the heart as well.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a fantastic return to form for Gearbox Software.
While still Borderlands at its core, Wonderlands stands on its own as a great entry that's worth trying.
If you are a fan of the looter shooter genre or if you like the lighter filled with humor experiences, you should give Tiny Tina Wonderlands a try!

Published as a separate game, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has managed to bring a different flavor to the Borderlands series, but it is a game with a lot of untapped potential.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands doesn't disfigure among other members of the prestigious Borderlands saga, even if it doesn't bring significant novelties besides the reinterpretation in a fantasy key, which turns out to be a winning idea anyway. Hilarious and irreverent dialogues, a satisfying gunplay and an end-game that hardly gets boring are the elements that will keep you glued to the game.

2022 is going to see a lot of contenders for Game of the Year with the likes of Elden Ring and Horizon: Forbidden West already high on the list and we are only in April. It says a lot about the quality of gaming at the moment. Witty, more guns and crossbows than you can ever imagine, a well set out story and stunning graphics all create what is simply a superb game. If you love the Borderlands games you will love this. If you haven’t played them then you will still love this game. Quite simply superb and will knock on the door for GOTY 2022.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands not only meets these expectations but at times exceeds them, masterfully evolving the fantasy world of “Bunkers and Badasses” into a sprawling yet focused adventure that hasn’t forgotten its roots.
Wonderlands manages to instead fix many of those issues while injecting new ideas to make it a special entry in the franchise thanks to more than just its setting. Hopefully, the game’s season pass will only continue to polish it even more, and the developers at Gearbox will take the lessons from Wonderlands into the series’ future.
Dealing with Tiny Tina’s humor for 20 or so hours isn’t always easy to swallow and may not be for everyone, but the gameplay is rewarding enough that even those that wind up moving the dialogue audio slider down to zero will have a good time.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands does not try to reinvent the Borderlands wheel. Instead, it molds it into something fresh enough to satisfy fans of the series that are looking for more. Just know that if you do not like the titular character then this is not the game for you, as there is a whole bonkload of Tina. If the $70 price tag on Series consoles doesn’t scare you off, and you have a few friends to play with then you will enjoy this expertly crafted schlooter.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a resounding success and is easily the most fun I’ve had with the series since the release of Borderlands 2. In some respects, I actually think there is a case to be made that this is the best playing game that Gearbox has made, so positive are the changes made to the narrative delivery, class system, and the introduction of the overworld. If you’re a fan of Borderlands, Wonderlands is an extremely easy sell. But, even if you’re a lapsed fan feeling the burn after so many years of Borderlands products, there is so much that is fresh on display that I think you owe yourself a visit to the Wonderlands.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a great addition to the Borderlands franchise and it brings back some of the comedic flair that felt lacking in the third main entry. The fantasy world's design is equal parts beautiful and exciting which has led to some of the most intriguing comedic and action moments of the year so far that you shouldn't miss.

A spin-off starring a memorable cast, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands may have played it a little too safe to make it stand out as a looter-shooter at the top of the pile.
