The Witch Queen is, without doubt, the best Destiny 2 expansion. The things it sets in motion, the flow between missions, the beautiful setpieces, epic battles, and wonderful voice acting marry up beautifully to create an unmissable expansion, even if some questions still remain about Destiny 2’s treatment of its content and how to access some of it.

Those who played in the era of The Taken King and broke bungie... Let the longing stop. The Witch Queen is such a good supplement that it's like there's an embarrassment that apologizes for all the mistakes they've made in the past.

‎We do not tremble the pulse to say that without a doubt ‎‎The Witch Queen is the best expansion that has ever come to Destiny‎‎. However, it is also fair to say that this is only the culmination of what Bungie has been sowing. Many of its possibilities have been forged during these last years, since the arrival of The Renegades and today we see how Destiny 2 is a title for any type of player. Even that thought that they want to charge us again as if it were a whole game, has completely vanished, because this expansion is almost a gift if we translate it into the hours of play that it is able to provide.‎

‎An expansion at the height that shines with its own light, especially the campaign; one of the best Bungie has ever done. And in the end, it's Destiny: a game of kicking alien asses with a shotgun in one hand and a magic spell in the other. And it doesn't get any better than that.‎

The Queen of Whispers is the best expansion in Destiny 2 history, as well as one of the most significant add-on content in the history of the entire franchise. Not to be missed.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is yet another reason Bungie’s epic living world has this type of staying power, and new and existing players alike have every reason to jump in here.

There's still work to be done on the game at large, but The Witch Queen is a massive step in the right direction. The campaign alone is worth the price of admission.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the best Destiny has ever been, and it is a fitting way to usurp the throne that was long held by the Taken King.

All I know is that I’ve been given ample reason to head out and shoot robots and aliens big and small with a wonderful array of satisfying weapons. And that’s enough to get me to put another couple dozen hours into Bungie’s addictive looter shooter.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expands, improves, and refines everything that already works extremely well, proving that this game as a service is still far from exhaustion. Moreover, it offers an engaging new journey, important revelations, and a turning point that only builds on promise for what lies ahead.

After many hours of playing and trying everything and anything with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, it's clearly the best and biggest expansion in Destiny's history ever.

A twist-filled return to the mythology of The Taken King should lure back lapsed series veterans in Destiny 2’s most focused and challenging campaign yet.

Where Beyond Light and Shadowkeep felt like foundational expansions, The Witch Queen is the fully realized, feature-rich pay off that players have been waiting for. While it's easy to see that PvP is still comparably neglected to PvE, a superbly focused campaign, an excellent raid, and reinvigorated Void subclasses are just a few of the inclusions that build The Witch Queen up as the best Destiny expansion thus far.

Destiny 2’s The Witch Queen then is, in some areas, a huge leap forward and in others a minor refinement. It points to the future of Destiny 2, with a clearer sense of what kind of game it will become in the coming years. It will please existing players considerably, as well as bring back many lapsed ones. Whether or not it will see a huge and lasting increase of new light Guardians, I suspect, will depend on other factors.

The Witch Queen is a great expansion that puts Destiny 2 on the right track after the partial misstep of Beyond Light. There's a lot of content here, even though some activities are blocked behind the season pass paywall.

If you’re not familiar with Destiny, it all probably sounds pretty overwhelming. That’s because it is. Destiny 2 has a dumptruck full of mechanics, concepts, and items, and it will take you a long time to figure everything out. What’s important is that getting to the light level cap, or doing the raid, or maxing out faction rep isn’t necessary to have a good time. The game still plays phenomenally, and the balance the new activities strike make The Witch Queen an ideal place to give Destiny 2 another shot. It worked for me, and well, if you knew exactly how much I’d grown to despise helium coils and faction rep, you’d be shocked I came back at all. But come back I did, and I won’t be putting Destiny 2 down for a very, very long time.

The Witch Queen seems to be one of the best additions to Destiny 2 right now. The local story campaign is definitely unmatched by previous expansions thanks to the varied gameplay and location design. But only a veteran of the game will be able to fully enjoy the plot, and for a beginner, half of the names and terms will remain an empty phrase. Is this a good entry point to Destiny 2? Barely. But the campaign gameplay can captivate them both, as it juggles playstyles and places entirely new demands on combat skills on Legendary difficulty. This is not a full-fledged single-player action yet, but something very similar to it. All the more interesting in which direction Bungie will go and what the finale of Destiny 2 will be.

The Witch Queen is one of the best, if not the best, expansion contents that Bungie crafted for their Destiny 2.

Thanks to The Witch Queen, Bungie has demonstrated that the narrative component is one of the main focuses for Destiny. The spectacular campaign, the evocative raid, the numerous quests and even the side activities managed to immerse us in the narrative as rarely happened before

Destiny 2 has tried to be many things over its four and a half years, and while it seemed there has always been a step back for every two steps forward the game would make, The Witch Queen is one giant leap ahead. With this expansion, Destiny 2 is quite simply at the best game state it has ever been, and offers so much to do and reason to do it that every player that ever loved this game should give it a shot to rekindle exactly what it was that sparked that passion in the first place.
