Triangle Strategy Reviews
Triangle Strategy is absolutely worth the asking price, even if you only play it once. It performs well in so many departments: gameplay, story, visuals, music, controls, and replayability. I’ve had no major complaints. It may take inspiration from venerable classics like Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics, but Triangle Strategy feels modern enough to be accessible to newcomers. And thanks to the adjustable difficulty, it’s suitable for both SRPG veterans and beginners alike.
Triangle Strategy embraces its narrative to and refined tactical battles to create a compelling tactical experience.
Triangle Strategy was already a great tactical RPG, but its PC version has improved what was good to make it excellent.

The PC porting of Triangle Strategy certainly won't go down in history as a state-of-the-art operation, but it still allows us to enjoy Square Enix's excellent turn-based strategy game and its intriguing narrative on that platform as well, and at higher resolutions. In short, if you haven't had a chance to pick it up yet and are a fan of the genre, it's definitely time to give Triangle Strategy a chance. You won't regret it.

To be completely honest, Triangle Strategy is one of the best games I've played this year. With a thought-provoking narrative that shapes itself according to the player's choices, challenging and engaging battles, and plenty of content to explore throughout its campaign, Team Asano's latest oeuvre is a gift for every tactical RPG fan. The arrival of the PC version, months later after its original release on Switch, only solidifies that conclusion.

Triangle Strategy is one of the best exponents of the Japanese tactical role-playing game. Not only does it imitate the classics, it manages to catch up with them thanks to an exciting story full of intrigue, a conventional but effective battle system, and an original decision-making mechanism that guarantees replayability.

Triangle Strategy is another resounding success by Square Enix in its quest to bring turn-based pixel art masterpieces into the realm of modern gaming. Its bigger mechanics force players to make tactical decisions on and off the battlefield, while its more nuanced ones give players a sense of joy in discovery at even the smallest turn. Each of Triangle Strategy’s components are elegantly refined down to the smallest detail, but when blended make for a slightly, yet strangely, imbalanced experience. If you don’t mind a tactics game that focuses more on story with battles largely used to further exposition, Triangle Strategy is an absolute must-play.
If you can get past the long dialogues, you'll find one of the most narratively interesting SRPGs on the market. As the player, you have real power to influence the course and outcome of the adventure that awaits you. All this is accompanied by very fun strategic combat that is varied and will allow you to develop your favorite characters. In short, Triangle Strategy offers an excellent story, very good gameplay and a super charming look. What more could you ask for?

Team Asano brings its latest HD-2D title to the Switch, in a tactical RPG inspired by Tactics Ogre and FFT. Can it possibly live up to its forebears?

Triangle Strategy is the real deal for tactical RPG fans. A mesmerizing story, strategic combat, wonderful aesthetics, a lengthy campaign and plenty of replayability.
Triangle Strategy, where every choice affects the world and where good and evil are not defined with clear boundaries, is a game that should not be missed by those who love tactical strategic role-playing games.

Triangle Strategy may be a bit of a weird name but it’s another role-playing game from the mind behind Bravely Default and Octopath Traveller, so everyone knows roughly what to expect. Lovely warm pixel-art, a tightly-woven narrative and a rewarding combat system are what I want, so let’s dig into it.
In short, Triangle Strategy weaves all of its elements into an immensely thoughtful and fun experience.
Triangle Strategy is a very solid tactical game that rewards smart decisions. The conviction system that drives the story reminds me of the older Ultima games, and I appreciate that positioning is as important as a character's abilities during combat. While Triangle Strategy suffers from some of the same issues as Octopath Traveler in terms of its slow pace, the game is still a worthy successor to the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics. This is a game that you'll want to pour hours into, even if some of those hours are eaten up by cutscenes and monologues.
A game that appeals to everyone, with an interesting story and a clever battle system.

With a surprisingly branching narrative, satisfyingly intense combat and an amazing soundtrack, Triangle Strategy is a great treat for Tactical RPG fans, but the lack of customization and ways to meaningfully improve your character drag the experience down a bit.

Triangle Strategy is, without a doubt, a TRPG worth playing. Both those who have recently discovered a love for the genre (due to its level of accessibility) and long-time fans of TRPGs (as it is quite similar to older titles) will have a worthwhile experience here. The title presents us with a beautiful story, in which the player himself decides both its chapters and its end, as well as an eye-popping combat system. In the end, any player will certainly have the feeling of a fulfillment!

Triangle Strategy is a surprising production from many points of view. A title able to revive the sensations of a videogame past that is becoming more and more distant, managing at the same time to be modern and accessible in many ways. The story is written in an excellent way, full of twists and turns and without any fear of daring in staging the cruelty of war. The strategic component works and manages not to disfigure against the historical exponents of the genre. Undoubtedly, Triangle Strategy's leisurely pace won't appeal to every gamer's taste, but hands down we're looking at one of the most important Nintendo Switch exclusives of 2022.
