My Time at Sandrock is a cosy yet action-packed farming simulator that has you not only building up a dying town, but uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the quaint lives of the inhabitants. With every new update, the game has been getting stronger and stronger. And while admittedly there are some shortcomings with accessibility and glitches, My Time at Sandrock still manages to be a title fans of the farming sim will absolutely love.
My Time at Sandrock is a game that you’ll have no trouble getting into if you’re a fan of the genre. If you’re new to cosy games on the whole, though, it’s also one that is easy to pick up and play - making it a great entry-level title for those checking out something slower in the colder months and dark nights.
My Time at Sandrock brings something new to the crafting/farming genre with its desert setting and genuine resource scarcity paired with a compelling story about restoring a struggling ghost town filled with memorable characters to its former glory.
My Time at Sandrock is an exceptionally content-rich game with a satisfying gameplay loop, exciting narrative, and a mostly compelling cast of characters. Unfortunately, it is let down by the Nintendo Switch port, which is so fundamentally flawed that it ruins the entire experience.
My Time at Sandrock smartly mixes simulation and RPG elements, creating a captivating and enticing world to explore and get to know in detail. Though the combat system isn't as pleasant as the others, it doesn't hinder the experience as a whole. Besides that, the crafting mechanic is very rich, prompting the player to enter a fun loop of exploration, gathering, creation and upgrade, which can definitely be worth hours of gameplay. Unfortunately, this ocean of content can't be properly explored on Switch due to severe performance issues, leaving us expecting future updates already promised by the developers to solve the issue.

Like My Time at Portia, the My Time at Sandrock Switch version doesn't feel quite ready at launch and hampers a promising game.
While this farming and life sim has some great characters and a very pleasant overall vibe it feels impaired on Switch
"My Time At Sandrock" is a diamond in the rough, a game that offers a comprehensive life simulation experience that is rewarding despite its flaws. It's a game that deserves to be polished to perfection, and we hope that future updates will smooth out its technical edges.
My Time At Sandrock is a phenomenal Life Sim, but more importantly, it has shown how much Pathea has improved as a developer. They took all the criticisms that were given to My Time At Portia to heart and gave us a game that built on what its predecessor had established while going above and beyond. That’s not to say the game is perfect; crafting especially can get overwhelming at times, but as long as you’re patient and give yourself enough time to get used to all the different machines and how they work, they end up becoming a part of your daily routine. My Time At Sandrock is definitely a game we would recommend you give a try if you want more than just cozy living.
My Time at Sandrock is a relaxing and fun farming simulator but players will need to invest a decent amount of time to get to the part of the game where it becomes enjoyable. The inventory system is one of the best systems I have seen in a long time and the NPCs are interesting to interact with as every chat brings something new.
If you like a game that is full of a little of everything, then My Time at Sandrock could well be for you. Pathea has done an amazing job of combining elements into a fun overall package. There truly isn’t anything to not like about moving to Sandrock. I have never felt such a sense of satisfaction after playing a game before and will continue playing long into the future. There are a few things that could be added, but everything My Time at Sandrock does it does well. I am truly looking forward to expanding my workshop and having ranks and ranks of machines all humming away to make everyone’s lives a little better.
My Time at Sandrock is a refreshing and genre-bending game that offers an incredible richness to the player. I highly recommend this game to all gamers who love relaxing games and want to shape their own world on their own.

My Time at Sandrock is fun. The time I had while playing My Time at Sandrock, exploring its ruins and crafting all sorts of items to help the townsfolk was a worthwhile experience. But even more so, I just enjoyed it as a game that leaves me with a lot of fun memories as I delve into its intricate stories and relationships. It might not have the best combat system around but as a life simulation game, it does the job that it intends to do. So, if you’ve been meaning to scratch an itch left by your favourite life sim, this is one that has potential especially if you enjoy playing with friends thanks to its multiplayer.

My Time at Sandrock is like a meticulously constructed building. It’s expertly crafted upon the solid foundation of its predecessor. The post-apocalyptic setting is an architectural marvel that balances vibrant hues with pockets of profound depth and emotion. However, like any construction project, this game has its quirks. The frequent stutters and eternal loading screens make this building creak in the wind. The User Interface, too, could use a touch of redesign. Nonetheless, it’s undeniable that My Time at Sandrock has a rock-solid foundation. Ultimately, the game’s core stands firm, but a fresh coat of polish might have been the final flourish required for it to truly sparkle.
Despite a weaker presentation than contemporary titles and a last third that meanders without the urgency of what came before, the game is a pleasing experience and one that those with even just a passing interest in the life and crafting sim genre are likely to enjoy their time with.
My Time at Sandrock is not a bad game at all but the Switch version suffers a lot because of the technical issues.
The potential is tantalizingly close to being realized. I still suggest buying but with the asterisk of a discount. I mean, I sunk 50+ hours because I do like it, but it’s just so forgettable.
