Gotham Knights Reviews
A decent superhero game with fun combat and story elements, but it struggles to live up to its Arkham series predecessors. An interesting game concept but it falls short in some departments.
While I wasn't too thrilled about the Court of Owls storyline, thankfully the villain subcases featuring Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze and Clayface are top-notch. Batman fans shouldn't hesitate to grab this game and step into the knight.
A proper interpretation of an excellent story with lots of content and juice for fans of the universe. Leave aside the dramas about performance and return to Gotham for some sleepless nights.

With the dust now settled I’ve had the joy of spending the last 12 days, working my way through the entire main narrative of Gotham Knights. With its bombastic climax, the developer has its sights firmly set on encouraging the player to keep going after the credits roll. The big questions is of course… will you want to?
Gotham Knights is one of those games that looks and plays better that we thought and when it works, it works great. Unfortunately the game can't escape the shadow of a much richer Arkham Trilogy even if its setting is in another universe.

If we accept that we are not facing a new Batman from Rocksteady, but something totally new, it is easy to have fun and enjoy this remarkable proposal of the Dark Knight's universe.

Gotham Knights is, simply, not very good and pales in comparsion to any game from the Arkham series.

Gotham Knights has a lot more to offer than meets the eye. It cannot be denied that the game is already dated, technically inefficient, and full of bizarre choices. Still, I cannot help to praise all it does right, especially that which has gone ignored by critics in favor of easy nitpicks and criticisms. The combat mechanics and worldbuilding are a special highlight.
A Batman family that couldn't get out of Arkhamverse's shadow. The game design structured around Co-op shows a lack of motivation. So many problems with monotonous combat, empty Gotham city, insufficient hero abilities, optimization issues and so on. A screenshot of Gotham city from photo-mode is the only thing that comforted me.

Gotham Knights is worth playing for its story and characters, but its RPG stylings feel counterintuitive and clunky compared to the Arkham games.
I had a great time playing Gotham Knights and yes it has its issues but overall it’s a solid addition to the superhero genre. The story is a bit by the numbers and relied a lot on combat but the character portrayal and heart of the game shown more than made for that in my opinion.
You should not pass up the opportunity to play this game

Despite a rather shaky technical aspect, overall Gotham Knigths proves to be a good title capable of entertain, with interesting and fun ideas that bring the player back to the dark and gloomy Gotham we love.

Gotham Knights was for me a very enjoyable adventure despite some flaws and one that I think DC fans will enjoy if they are patient and willing to overlook some of the shortcomings of the game to focus on the things it does well.
Gotham Knights deliver one of the best co-op experiences, but technical glitches and the finale pull the recommendation down slightly. The possibility of cooperation is not just a bonus but is one of the game's fundamental building blocks. However, that doesn't mean you won't enjoy the game if you play it alone. So we can recommend Gotham Knights with 7 points out of 10.

There’s no denying that Gotham Knights is a sizable disappointment even if it settles into being a decent, yet forgettable, game.
Overall, Gotham Knights is, a boring, irritating game and a waste of potential that does little to the bat-family.

Gotham Knights is the worthy heir to Batman. Net of an optimisation that is not in line with the art proposed and a city that is not very engaging in its entirety, the work is a triumph of love for those who love the genre. Each of the four protagonists has memorable play and narrative traits.

If Gotham Knights is an original game? No, but that does not detract from being a solid experience. Giving prominence and opportunity to secondary heroes to shine and being able to even switch between them, brings a healthy variety of distinct games in the genre. One of its strong points is definitely the interesting plot, relegating to the second line the leading role that Batman had in this world. There are some points that could be fixed in a simple way and maybe with updates they will, but overall it's a good superhero game with the usual atmosphere of the Batman universe. With the Multiplayer mode still being polished, we may have a few more hours of entertainment here to spend with friends or enthusiasts of this genre.

While it does attempt to carve out its own identity with its slower pace and more intimate storytelling, it’s hard to separate this game from the Batman games of the past. But regardless of its lack of originality, Gotham Knights remains a compelling experience – one littered with intriguing and thoughtful interpretations of characters, and a creeping sense of dread that will keep you rushing through case files, determined to save Gotham from itself.
