Evil West is a linear oldschool action festival with a story you can easily skip through, good sounddesign and some challenging gameplay. The amount of possibilities during the fights and the variety in the different sections bring lots of fun. If you are looking for that, you'll have a great time.

In the end, Evil West is one of the examples that reinforce the most important aspect of a videogame: the fun of playing. In this case, fighting against supernatural monsters in a beautiful and challenging western setting. Of course, a more developed story that fit well with the combats would have been great, as well as having more variety to the missions. Even so, this is a a release full of action and big qualities for fans of the genre.

In the end, the game while looking good and having a solid concept is hampered by the camera issues and the control system as well as a fairly short campaign. The game is good for what it is but could have been and should have been so much better than we got.

Evil West returns to the glory days of action games with a fun and straightforward approach to the genre. The combat is frenetic, simple, and fluid enough to create the ultimate vampire slayer. You also have straightforward characters that scratch an itch and then some. While there’s no need to reinvent the wheel, I feel that they could’ve done better by utilizing the current-gen console’s power to push its visual style and charming characters to a higher standard. However, due to its frame rate issues and lazy enemy variants being thrown at you in swarms, Evil West may be an annoyance in higher difficulties.

Evil West is a little more than adequate video game that uses virtually nothing of its (good) premise to stand out or stand out from the welter of competitors of which the market is full. The strong point, namely the audience's fascination with the Wild West, is not deepened, except with clichés and clichés that are largely outdated

If you don’t mind the boring story, dated level design and buy in for the explosive combat alone, then Evil West will come across as a cathartic experience. Although the combat experience, too, is riddled with difficulty spikes and some repetition, the sheer chaotic satisfaction the game offers is worth experiencing. Even with all of these drawbacks, I did have a great time shutting off my brain and slaying vampires left and right. That says a lot about the current state of the industry. If you aren’t sure about shelling out 2k INR for such an experience, there will always be a sale down the line.

Evil West is a phenomenal game and an incredibly fun slaying experience. If you are an older individual, it will have you rekindling your video gaming nostalgia. A great story, followed by old-school hack-and-slash moves and powerful weapons, is what the fans truly deserve. On top of that, the fact that Evil West is cheaper than the average retail price is another reason why you must get this.

Evil West is an action game that features very unique concepts. Its combat system is innovative and fun, but its lethargic pacing holds it back from achieving greatness.

It may not be my absolute favorite game of 2022, but it certainly is one of the most fun from this year.

Evil West is a game like Shadow Warrior 2, but with less flair. The game let's you enjoy co-op action with up to two players, killing vampires and other meanies. But is misses something to make it memorable or even more dan an in between. Still, if you like crazy games that let you beat vampires into pulp, this is a good suggestion for the budget bin.

Despite a few rough edges in terms of stage design and enemy variety, Evil West is a must-own experience for fans of the character action game genre. With a deep and engaging combat system, a meaty campaign, and a killer sense of style, it’ll leave you glued to your controller until the credits roll. If you’re a fan of Flying Wild Hogs’ brand of gory, in-your-face action, Evil West is a non-stop thrill ride through the freaky frontier that you won’t want to miss.

Evil West is brutish, exciting, and chaotic. While the story isn't anything memorable, it is filled with non-stop action-packed experiences that will leave a smile on your face.

The story here is dumb fun, with some purposely hammy and equally terrible dialogue, but I enjoyed it for what it was, as it felt like a bad B-movie. Combat gets somewhat repetitive with the length, as eventually, you enter a pool of the same but stronger enemies and the level design is, as stated, a simple throwback.

Evil West has a lot of things going for it—the designs are fascinating, the lore excellent, and the gameplay can be massively fun on hard. But it also has some downfalls—the levels feel just a bit too linear, and the main narrative takes a while to really jump into, and even then, it struggles with fluid cut scenes and complexity. While other games have been able to get away with a basic narrative because of their fantastic action, Evil West isn’t quite there.

Though it captures the heart of Darkwatch in its environments and atmosphere, it can’t make up for its lack of variety or its inability to scale difficulty in a satisfying way. The best throwback games borrow aesthetics, iconography, and mechanics from the past, and blend them with modern sensibilities. Evil West does the first part beautifully, but can’t quite pull things together for audiences today.

A game that shows efforts to lower the entry barrier of action games. Thanks to the friendly aim assistance, the game enables you to perform great action without difficulty. However, somewhat repetitive combats with same monsters and overall volume of the game, vague main stories are the ones that could have been better.

Evil West isn't the most complicated game ever made, but it doesn't need to be, offering a good few hours of overpowered fun.

Flying Wild Hogs did well here with the Wild West take. Evil West’s flexible combat, challenging fights, and cowboys-versus-vampires setting are enough for me, and probably for you if you need more action games on your PC and console. It does remind me of the old days of 2010s third-person action games, but the good parts.

Evil West exceded my expectations. Everyone knew it would be an entertaining action game, nothing more, nothing less. But what we got is the start of a whole new series from Flying Wild Hog. A series that I expect to be on the radar of all players in the future, especially if they realize the flaws I mentioned and fixed them as required. I highly recommend all fans of fast-paced action games to try Evil West right away!

Evil West is an incredibly fun game, with many ways to dismember enemies or electrocute them with gusto. The story flows very well from mission to mission and the boss battles are incredibly engaging. The world also looks stunning, being drenched in a gothic/steampunk atmosphere that’s highly rewarding to play.
