Bayonetta 3 successfully reinvents itself in many ways to offer an experience that feels worthy of the title of sequel. It successfully shakes up the combat from the previous games by implementing new abilities that help keep things familiar but fresh. Some of the gimmicky battles bring the pacing down and dreaded, but ubiquitous Switch-related performance issues remain. As a whole, Bayonetta 3 eclipses its predecessor and is truly one of the most bombastic and enjoyable action games you can play.

Platinum made Bayonetta 3 an almost impeccable game. Its combat system is exciting, fun, easy to learn and full of depth, and its level design always brings a lot of unexpected surprises. Although the plot is not very substantial, but with the excellent animation performance, the whole story was told quite wonderfully. Bayonetta 3 is a masterpiece not to be missed for most players.

Bayonetta 3 is the kind of game that makes you wonder where a series could possibly go from here, because I can't imagine a sequel being bigger or better than this.

Thanks to excellent characterisation, a true understanding of how to work with both hyperbole and surrealism within a narrative, and a ridiculously complex, but rewarding, combat system, Bayonetta 3 has been well worth the wait.

Bayonetta 3 is one hell of a good time. There is never a dull moment in this action/adventure threequel that’s sure to take your breath away. Even if your only knowledge of Bayonetta is that she’s one of the many characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, now is the perfect time to see what this extraordinary franchise is all about. With polished combat mechanics, gorgeous visuals, and masterful storytelling, Bayonetta 3 is simply bloody brilliant.

Overall, Bayonetta 3 is an incredibly fun game. I like the new mechanics, the new enemies are fun to fight, and it has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. I just wish all of it wasn't surrounded by a dreary tale of multiversal failure leading into a rather bittersweet ending. If you don't care about the story, the game has few flaws that I can think of. It plays great, is full of amazing absurdity, and was absolutely worth the wait for any fan of the franchise. In the long run, I think Bayonetta 2 is my favorite of the franchise, but Bayonetta 3 is still a remarkably good entry in Platinum's best series.

Full of sensuality and with the best hack and slash action around, Bayonetta 3 is easily the best in the trilogy. It's a celebration that pushes the power of Nintendo's console to the limit.

As the series goes big this time Bayonetta 3 is more personal than ever. It’s creativity and larger than life characters boast a huge amount of fun while it’s scope is mindblowing. I know it’s a dying breed of a game but even in it’s last breath it goes with bang. All action fans and serie’s veterans should play this magnificent gem of a game.

Bayonetta 3 made a great comeback after a long break in the series and managed to become one of the best in the action genre. Its minor shortcomings can be ignored thanks to its innovations and fun gameplay.

Bayonetta 3 is a delicious sequel to the action-packed franchise we all know and love. While it doesn't re-invent the wheel, this witch shows she still has a lot more to offer.

There’s a lot more to Bayonetta 3 than there was to the series’ prior titles. A lot of it works really well, offering a game that’s far larger in scale while still nailing the core action the series is known for. While the lack of focus may stop it from being quite as strong a total package as its predecessor, the high points here are as good as the series has ever been.

Bayonetta 3 is grand, addictive, and an absolute must-see. The fact that even its serious performance issues on the Switch are not enough to stop a genuine recommendation is a testament to the quality of the third game in one of the most interesting franchises in the gaming industry. Don't let yourself be fooled: for all intents and purposes, here's PlatinumGames' magnum opus and another great hit from Nintendo.

Splatoon 3 lives up to its hype, although I was disappointed by the boss fights in the campaign. These were crisper and more challenging in the predecessors. Nevertheless, the color shooter is a really good video game. There is a lot to discover, not too much backtracking and actually everything that gamers have wished for. "Love it or leave it, there's nothing in between" describes Bayonetta very aptly for me. Newcomers should have completed the first two parts beforehand or at least watched a summary on YouTube. Otherwise, the mood will certainly not really come up, because you will not understand the relationship of the characters. However, if you don't care about that and want great-looking action, you can jump right into Bayonetta 3 and have a lot of fun. The fights are fast and look great. The story is okay, but actually seemed a bit beside the point. The "multiverse" theme should hardly be a surprise for anyone in the video game scene, but it offers Bayonetta a lot of freedom and even great locations for carnage. Except for the performance and slight problems with the camera, which cost me a healing potion in some places, Bayonetta 3 is a successful title and a worthy successor to a game series that has thrilled fans for years. In addition, the video game is suitable for both beginners and veterans, which makes it even more attractive.

Bayonetta 3 is a stylized three-dimensional beat-em-up featuring the popular character Bayonetta. Despite being the third entry in this beloved series, this is my first encounter with the franchise, so I was both excited and curious to see what the hype was all about. Did the game justify itself to me? Find out in this Rapid Review.

Everything that made the first two games unforgettable is here, as well as a very welcome set of new elements, such as new characters and mechanics of other genres which do an excellent job at helping the experience to remain attractive. The combat system keeps its long-running signature moves and it's accessible enough to welcome as many segments of the audience as possible, while the plot is fleshed out at a new level. Truly Bayonetta 3 is an exquisite work that is both fresh and reliable.

The combat is jaw-dropping and stylishly energetic, never letting its foot off the brake. It also attempts to make the most out of its multiverse premise.

Bayonetta 3 is a case study of why a game that swings big and misses is often more worthy of your time than a 10/10 game that plays it safe. I just wish it could have stuck the landing story-wise.
