PAYDAY 3 Reviews
Despite its tragic departure, Payday 3 proves to be a worthy sequel that adds enough to be a good foundation for what's to come.

Payday 3 offers a refined gameplay experience, but the lack of a decent progression system and QoL features holds it back from greatness.
Overall, I’d give Payday 3 a tentative 7/10 for now. It is a fun romp with friends, both in stealth and loud variations. The maps can be both simple and complex depending on choice, with some quick clears and more in-depth burglaries. There are not a ton of unique features to be had, but this is a long haul, more is to come.
PAYDAY 3 isn’t the seismic improvement over PAYDAY 2 many might have been hoping for, but it is a refinement of the formula with a few fun new additions. Though the number of heists is currently at a modest number, they have a decent amount of replayability whether you use meticulous stealth or go in guns blazing. Despite a very troubled opening week, there are firm foundations for lots more heisting content to come here. Chains, Dallas, Wolf and Hoxton have come out of their latest heist with some scars to show for it, but with a few bags full of cash nonetheless.
Payday 3 is a competent addition to the heist genre, offering intense firefights and complex missions. However, its shift in tone and overemphasis on stealth may not appeal to all fans of the series. It’s a game that shows promise and could very well evolve into something greater with future updates…but for now, it’s probably best to wait and see.
Payday 3 still needs work to reach his maximum potential

Payday 3 obviously uses the same concept as its predecessors. The game has had the necessary update to look sleek again. There isn't a lot of content yet, but the missions available are very entertaining.

Payday 3 is fun and engaging when it works, but more often than not, it doesn’t. The servers that are constantly down, the overall lack of content, the cut features from Payday 2, and the lazily put-together cutscenes all prevent this from being a title worth experiencing, even for the diehard fans. I have no doubt that Starbreeze will polish this title in time, but for now, it’s an easy skip.
It has received high expectations from many fans, but it falls far short of surpassing the previous game that was created over the course of 10 years. Irrational matchmaking, lackluster content, and a UI that is unmatched in its inconvenience all raise concerns about the future of the Payday series itself.

Payday 3 has a big future ahead of it, and we haven't heard the last of it yet. But now? It's off to a dismal start, with woefully little content. But if you focus on the gameplay, it's fresh, and the improved stealth is a big step forward. Payday 3 is a pretty good title that plays well, but it's just a skeleton that needs to be built upon.

Even with a slightly disappointing start, nothing is lost for Payday 3. On the contrary: the robberies and shootouts have good qualities, such as competent visuals and performance, good gameplay and great mechanics for cooperative play. The point is that there is still a long way to go to offer a more complete experience, especially compared to its predecessor. While the necessary updates do not arrive, here is a suggestion for fans of the series and anyone who wants to prepare for a future that has the potential to be bright.

With a desire to attract more players to a cops and robbers experience, it’s clear Payday 3 is still continuing to improve itself while aiming to add more content over time.
Payday 3 lets you carry out some daring heists and feel like a professional bank robber. With a well-prepared team, you can properly coordinate a variety of strategies whether you are aggressive or stealthy. Unfortunately, there aren’t that many missions and playing solo is a difficult endeavor thanks to poor AI. Team matchups can also be risky if you aren’t with friends. There’s some good fun to be had, but it fizzles quickly if you aren’t a dedicated player.
Payday 3 does a ton of heavy lifting to revolutionize its gameplay for a modern age, but struggles to provide the needed content to sustain that.
With some exceptionally engaging gameplay and intelligently designed heists, payday 3 delivers on being a successor to Payday 2. While it will not have nearly as much content for quite a long time, for now, the foundations are much more solid than its former entry- I can see Payday 3 having just as long a life span.
Payday 3 is a huge step up from the core mechanics of the Payday franchise. The updated gunplay and casing mechanics all come together for a gameplay experience that, as a whole, just feels better. However, it falters at just about everything else. The game is really light on content, progression has been ruined, and the rampant server issues are unacceptable, with the game refusing to work properly even if you want to play by yourself.
Hopefully with heist updates and stability fixes Payday 3 will eventually shine.
Two steps forward with the gunplay and graphics, a hundred steps back with pretty much...everything else. Absolutely not for recommendation in this current state.
it’s more of the same and not huge on innovation but more on polishing up what they already have.
In summary, Payday 3 shows promise with its solid core mechanics, but suffers from server issues, matchmaking problems, and a lack of content at the time of the review. Character progression is slow and frustrating, and there’s a need for improvements and additional content to enhance the overall experience. Subscribers to the Xbox Gamepass may find it worth trying out, but the game falls short of its potential.
