It’s an easy recommend for series fans, just don’t expect it to be the lumbering behemoth that was Payday 2… yet.
While PAYDAY 3 will no doubt please series veterans and newcomers, it's still a few updates a way from being definitively better than PAYDAY 2. When everything is working seamlessly, it offers some of the highest highs in the series thus far, but frustrating omissions and questionable progression design restrain PAYDAY 3's ability to be consistent.
PAYDAY 3 offers a cooperative gameplay experience with an array of heists and a progression system that has its merits. However, it's not without its share of issues. AI inconsistencies, unremarkable objectives, and underwhelming audio-visual elements tarnish the experience. While it's an imperfect addition to the series, it still offers a taste of the criminal underworld. Like any complex caper, it has its moments of brilliance, but also a few unexpected hiccups along the way.
Yes, the Payday magic is still here… sort of.
Payday 3 provides the fun and chaotic heisting experience that the series is renowned for, but a lack of content and gameplay modernisation, and some frustrating design makes for an underwhelming start for the third entry in the series.
Payday 3 does what every sequel aims to do: it improves on its predecessor in every respect. We have a qualitative leap on a technical level, an improvement of the basic gameplay, more layered and exciting missions. Right from the start it is clear why the player should abandon Payday 2 to move on to this third episode. On the other hand, however, at launch we are experiencing numerous bugs and glitches, which while not deeply affecting the experience give the idea of a title that would have benefited from a few more months of development and which lacks a good dose of refinements.

This is a good sequel for fans of Payday and makes improvements without changing the formula too much. Unfortunately, some of the shortcomings that can be also found in previous games can still be seen here.
Co-op action with thieves continues, and while the foundation is good, the game needs time for the authors to expand it sufficiently. Above all, it has only few maps, especially when compared to the previous game.

Payday 3 is more of a work in progress rather than a final product as it suffers from tons of technical issues and lack of content. But it offers fantastic core gameplay mechanisms, and just perfect gunplay also builds a solid foundation that can be supported and improved by consistent updates.

PAYDAY 3 has lots of potential but it's defective AI and server problems really make enjoying this game difficult. Also, PAYDAY 3 is badly affected with bugs and technical issues but still if you can play the game with your friends, level design and fun mechanics can lead to an enjoyable experience.

Payday 3 introduces a few changes to its decade-old arcade heist formula, and yet still feels very much like a product of a bygone era. Returning fans will find many missing features and lack of content to grumble about, while newcomers were turned away with unplayable servers during launch week, and it's hard to tell if either group will be back.
PAYDAY 3 has seen ample improvements compared to its predecessors. from smoother gunplay to more heist options. that being said, online issues, lack of content and some technical problems related to AI could somewhat damage your overall experience. nonetheless, PAYDAY 3 is definitely entertaining and enjoyable.

Payday 3 isn't a revolution, but an evolution, simplifying (but not reducing) a well-established concept. It's a lighter, more fluid tactical shooter, and a good starting point for future development. With an accessible price, especially on Game Pass, it's a good but imperfect experience.

PAYDAY 3 at this stage is a fun game at its core, married to a not-so-fun progression grind. Until the expected redesign arrives, devotees will certainly enjoy the 10 to 15 hours it takes to adequately learn the missions for stealth runs, but are unlikely to devote the time needed to unlock the more interesting thingamajigs.
Despite a turbulent and unsuccessful launch, Payday 3 manages to recover well and offers hours of entertainment and study behind every shot, pushing the player and company to improve themselves more and more. Still with some shortcomings, but playable with peace of mind and with the prospect of concrete post-launch support.

Payday 3 provides an extremely enjoyable experience, especially when playing with a squad of friends. Despite minor problems that can become slightly frustrating, we didn't experience anything game-breaking that should deter players from not purchasing. It needs improvement, sure, but overall, this is a solid outing, packed with new experiences to enjoy, so we wouldn't have any issues recommending it as an epic introduction to the series.
Payday 3 represents the typical game in the making. Its future, and success, surely depends on the goals and improvements that Starbreezee will implement. The game offers fun gameplay, virtually endless replayability, and an outstanding soundtrack, however, at launch, the content is extremely limited and meager.

Payday 3 is a solid co-op shooter, but it hasn't started on the right foot and it didn't grab the players of the previous entry in the series. This might, unfortunately, prove fatal.
