The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild takes many open world elements and new ideas and executes them to near perfection. The way the game does its exploration, atmosphere and physics based interactions sets a new standard for video games. This game is truly a masterpiece.

Even though I can take a sizeable time to complain about Breath of the Wild (and that’s not even talking about performance issues), the game is still a very good one. I would comfortably say that after an extensive period of playing Breath of the Wild, I do believe that it is one of the best Legend of Zelda games that has ever been made.

After all the changes the series has undergone, the necessary reworkings have come together for what is a unique landmark in the adventure game genre that invites the players to decide how they wish to lead their epic journey in the vastest, most content-rich and visually superb Kingdom of Hyrule that anyone has ever seen. Reclaiming the crown that some had thought to be lost, Breath of the Wild rightfully puts Zelda at the centre of the gaming universe once again.

How could the Zelda series evolve and reinvent itself to reclaim its spot among the greatest games in the world? According to the Breath of the Wild book, by rewiring its main conventions and tapping them into the freedom template provided by the saga's very first chapter, adding to them the visual marvels that contemporary technology can achieve, the vastest space for exploration that has ever been created for a Zelda game and a perfect learning cycle that provides Link with an explosive potential for development.

Eiji Aonuma has finally outdone Shigeru Miyamoto, and if I were Aonuma I’d just retire considering the success Breath of the Wild will undoubtedly have. It isn’t without its blemishes, but simply put, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece that can easily be considered the new defining entry in Nintendo’s beloved series.

Like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess before it, Breath of the Wild almost didn't release on the console that it was originally intended for. Unlike Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild actually released side by side with the newest console and its version of the title. Was it worth it to do both hardware generations? I would say so.

The feeling of adventure has always been present in Zelda titles, but none of the previous titles have offered the same immense feeling of freedom as Breath of the Wild. The huge world offers hours upon hours of exploration that is well worth it, but will always show the way to continue moving forward in the story at any time.

We got used to The Legend of Zelda as it was and as it has been for thirty years. The previous entries in the franchise can still stand the test of time as some of the greatest games ever conceived. But there hadn’t been a true evolution for the series since Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. Breath of the Wild is that next step in the evolution and blew open the design of what it means to be a Zelda game, and it feels extremely satisfying. I pray that we aren’t in for another six years before the next game, but even if we are, there’s a ton of content here to hold fans over for a long, long time. Hands down, this is one of the best games ever made. Bravo Nintendo, bravo.

Breath of the Wild does what Ocarina of Time did back in 1998: it creates a new formula for future Zeldas to follow. Fans of action-adventure titles and The Legend of Zelda should play it as soon as possible.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best Zelda games to date and it’s also the perfect game for the Nintendo Switch due to its portability. It’s a very well-crafted game with some wonderful gaming mechanics and nothing feels contrived or limited but rather, it creates a very engaging open-world experience and one that feels real on so many levels. So if you’re looking for a reason to buy a Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost the only reason you need. As I’ve kept spoilers to a bare minimum, the only other advice I would give is that do not rush playing this game, explore every area because it will make the experience a much more powerful one. Sure, some gamers have finished this title in a handful of hours but like any good relationship, give it plenty of time!

This video game is really a piece of art. It very well may become a part of videogame history. Surely that’s something we can all enjoy.

We had a lot of skepticism and kept our hype in check, but in the end we can't deny that Breath of the Wild took our breath away hour after joyous hour. With a ton of great content and gameplay, along with polish that you just don't see much of anymore, we just might have another Nintendo classic on our hands.

The new Zelda game is so big and so full of everything that it's impossible to write about all of that in a traditional review. Breath of the Wild is a true system seller, probably the best starting game in the history of gaming. Nintendo is back and if only this quality of game design is maintained, Switch will become THE console. No question.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild revitalises and redefines not just the Zelda series itself, or Nintendo games in general, but the entire action-adventure genre. It's the most astonishing curtain call for the Wii U, a console that arguably doesn't deserve to go out on such a high note. Stunningly beautiful, lovingly crafted and meticulously detailed, Breath of the Wild raises the bar for similar games so ridiculously high, the competition will need to hitch a ride on a dragon and soar for the heavens if they ever want to get close.

The very first feeling I got from Breath of the Wild was this in a nutshell. Wow! Starting off with \\\"Hey Link, glad you're alive, now GO!\\\" pretty much made it the greatest intro that I could of asked for from someone who absolutely hates tutorials. Sure they give you little hints here and there, a few popups indicating which buttons do what, how to attack and block, but this game gives you nothing to work off of, and it's amazing.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild really is a joy to play. It's a Zelda game that is sure to satisfy those who've had it circled in their calendars all these years, but even if you've never been a fan of the franchise, this is an excellent place to start.

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild is far from the perfect game, but it's still a very good game that is worth your money. If you're a fan of prior Zelda games however you might need to wary of Breath Of The Wild as it's changed and added a lot of features that some may feel move away from what made Zelda the franchise it is. Sometimes change is good, but I felt there was too many unnecessary changes in the game which made the game not feel like a Zelda game.

Breath of the Wild breaks the mold and sets the pace for what we should expect out of Zelda games, and though it doesn't always strike true, it still makes for one of the most gripping and amusing adventure titles we've ever played.
