Kona 2: Brume is an exciting and engaging video game, biting and well presented. If on the one hand it offers a wonderful and solitary glimpse of Canada, to be precise the Quebec region, on the other there is a thick mystery to be solved that is as complex as the world. Strengthened by an extremely elegant, high-caliber game design, the production achieves its goal without hesitation and with the maturity of someone who wants to say "Present!" in one of the busiest months on the scene for several years now.

I think that Kona II: The Brume is a title that can be of great interest to survival horror fans in general and in particular to players who have enjoyed the first installment. I think that the Canadians of Parabole managed to improve what they already did in the first installment, but they stopped too long to expand the fights that were not the core of the story and are not, either, the main reason why players of the genre choose the titles in it.

With its gripping plot and scenarios that can be explored with great pleasure, Kona 2 represents a worthy successor to the first chapter, albeit characterized by a series of flaws that prevent it from taking flight.

Fans of the original slow-burn thriller may not find much fulfillment here, but newcomers to Kona may find warmth in how polished Kona II: Brume's potentially unnecessary mechanics are at times.

Kona II Brume is a direct follow-up to the 2017 adventure, with the same strengths (great atmosphere, good writing, rewarding exploration) and the same weaknesses (weak shooting, stiff animations, inconsistent enemies) of the first title. It's overall better thanks to new graphics and more focused story, but we would only recommend it to fans of the first chapter.

Kona 2: Brume is a fantastic and engaging mystery/horror game featuring a frightening atmosphere and immersive setting. The game excels in narrative-driven exploration, offering a rich story steeped in mystery and mostly engaging puzzles. However, some gameplay elements, such as combat and some narrative choices, do not work properly. That said, the improved graphics and atmospheric design contribute to the overall experience, making Kona II a worthy continuation of the series. If you have not played the original Kona, we suggest you do so before starting Brume.

Without being perfect, this game is a good recommendation for people who like mysterious stories where exploration is at the heart of its point-and-click mechanics. The atmosphere is strange, without being a horror game. It's just well balanced.

Returning to the icy world of Quebec and reconnecting with private detective Carl Faubert felt like rediscovering a long-lost memory.

‘Kona II Brume’ is a good continuation of the story set up in the first game, however, it doesn’t really bring anything different to the table. Yes, it’s a fun mystery adventure wrapped into a light survival game, but besides that, it doesn’t have much else to add to it that’s new.

Kona II: Brume notably improves on its predecessor with a more nuanced take on its narrative, interactivity, visuals, and survival elements. If you are into titles like Green Hell, Sons of the Forest, or The Forest, or even the earlier Frictional products, the game is definitely worth checking out. As for newcomers, it can prove to be quite a daunting task to get into Kona II.

Kona II: Brume offers us a mystery, survival and puzzle-solving game where action is a mechanic that gives way to exploration and history, which progress as we solve certain mysteries in the form of puzzles. Of course, we will always be under the threat of cold and supernatural creatures, although in a purely anecdotal way. The game offers three levels of difficulty if we want to simply enjoy the story or take on something much more challenging. A walking simulator and a very interesting option to take into account, which despite the fact that some mechanics, such as the use of the camera, are poorly implemented and that some animations are somewhat clumsy, it is very entertaining and fun to play thanks to its atmosphere and immersive plot.
