Turnip Boy proves he's no one-hit wonder, taking a slightly different direction to his debut yet still hitting all the right notes. Fun to play and enjoyable to master, it's a creative action-shooter that shouldn't be missed.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank continues the criminal adventures of its root vegetable hero, and thanks to improved gameplay, visuals, and continued whacky jokes, the series is starting to create a rather enticing garnish.

The gameplay loop is pretty fun, and finding new weapons to dispatch the security flora and fauna standing in the way of your heist manages to entertain, at least up until the final parts of the game. The performance on Switch also leaves something to be desired, with more detailed areas of the bank leading to noticeable frame drops. If you wanted a bit more action from your Turnip Boy escapades, this follow up might be the serving of veggies you're craving. That said, it doesn't quite do enough to rise to the upper echelons of roguelites already available on the eShop.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a fun and challenging twin-stick shooter with great characters and a sense of humour. There's so much to do here that it will keep you busy for a long time!

It may not be an epic adventure like the first game but Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is filled with laughs, silly action, and lots to unlock.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is another hit target for Snoozy Kazoo. The small Western Massachusetts development team puts us back in the shoes of a jovial thug, this time grappling with a light roguelite based on robberies and ramshackle escapes. It's a short, lighthearted experience that embodies the development team's DNA and their own mission in wanting to create products to detach the brain. Robbing a bank has never been so much fun (!).

The indie market is getting better and better! Consequently, I enjoy the shorter and often easy-to-follow gameplay. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank offers some exceptional pick-up and play gameplay. Moreover, the plot is amusing, and who doesn’t love the idea of killing a carrot? Accordingly, I love this title and I recommend buying it here! Can you complete your heist and help the Pickled Gang? Pick your weapon, complete each quest, and get rich in the process.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is the sequel the fans deserve. It’s impressive how they’ve improved almost all aspects from the predecessor, including the more enhanced combat and fights that become more immersive and exciting and a much better adventure with likable characters. Who knew that you could learn so much about heists from food-based characters and seem so innocent at the same time? One would hope a sequel will be in the works in the future.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank was an absolute joy to play, and I’m thankful it made its way to Xbox Game Pass. It runs incredibly well, aside from some minor lagging during a boss fight. The game may only be on a few platforms right now, but if it’s anything like its predecessor, it will be on nearly every device soon enough. My total playtime was around five hours each session, with the second time reaching 100% completion. If you enjoyed Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, you’ll enjoy Turnip Boy Robs a Bank. Or, like me, you may even like its sequel much more than the original, due to its genre change-up and updated gameplay mechanics. I had an amazing time playing Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and it is likely to end up on my 2024 Game of The Year list in December. Heck, I may even play it a few more times by then.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a fantastic sequel to the first game and a great rougelite with short gameplay that both new players to the genre and veterans would enjoy. The gameplay is polished, and the controls are easy to learn, allowing players to get into the rhythm of shaking down other veggies for their hard-earned cash as Turnip Boy easily.

This silly game often feels too difficult for its own good. The bullet-hell inspirations aren't as charming as the rest of the game, and looking back, the first game is easily a much better experience thanks to its gameplay and characters.

Turnip Boy Robs A Bank is a bit on the shorter side, I was able to finish the majority of the content by the 5th hour or so which isn’t too bad for this type of game. I’m sure people will come up with different types of challenges for themselves such as only using starting weapons, no passive upgrades, and things of this nature to get a bit more mileage from Turnip Boy Robs A Bank. I definitely enjoyed my time with it and with it being on sale currently on Steam and also available on Gamepass it is hard not to recommend giving the game a playthrough if you like these style of games.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a fantastic roguelike entry that’ll retrain the way you’re used to playing games in the genre. Packed with great humor, simple but fun mechanics, and a dead-eyed killer turnip, there’s not a whole lot more you could ask for from Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is overall a great experience and a must-play for those who did get to play the prequel. The game is as good as the first and builds upon what the other set out. There are far more gameplay aspects to the game, such as RNG, pickups, and upgrades, but at its core, it is still just Turnip Boy. The game never rushes you, and it never overstays its welcome. Its jokes are funny, witty, and self-aware, and the gameplay is an addictive loop that will keep you occupied for its entire runtime.

Breaking away from the more Zelda-esque adventure of the original to go roguelike feels like a smart move

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is silly, weird, fun, and completely unexpected. I was floored when I dove into it. I was a little unsure of the direction the developers chose to take it at first, but it quickly grew on me. The music, the sound design, the upgrades… Everything about Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is fun. I am stoked that I got to play this action Roguelite early, and I cannot recommend it enough for those who like this type of game.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is nothing like its predecessor as it has its timer mechanism and isn’t as “open-world” but it’s a really fast paced game with a lot of humor that you should consider picking up.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank isn’t too original from a gameplay perspective, but the manic action and quirky setup ensures players will have a good time pulling off their veggie-themed heists. There’s a fast and rewarding sense of progress to the game that keeps you pushing forward through the bank and unlocking new goodies to play around with, whilst the core gameplay loop offers plenty of fun as you hack and blast away at any enemies in your path to pull in some cash. And sure, it could be a bit easy in places (with exception to a few later sections), but the exciting loop of each run ensures it doesn’t hold the game back. It keeps things simple and doesn’t have too many fresh ideas, but there’s a lot of fun to be had committing unlawful acts with everybody’s favourite turnip in Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.

If it wasn’t clear already, I love Turnip Boy Robs A Bank. I already thought Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion was an outstanding game, so being able to build on that with a fast-paced roguelite adventure, with an excellent gameplay loop which also pokes fun on the horrible depths of capitalism, who would have thought it would be so much fun?
