Dragon's Dogma 2 Reviews
Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't perfect, but its few flaws haven't taken away the impression that I've experienced one of the best open worlds I've ever seen.

Dragon’s Dogma II is the natural evolution of a saga that compromised due to technological limits over ten years ago. Now free of those limits, Capcom’s action/RPG presents itself in majestic form. Even if the story sometimes feels like a rehash of the first chapter, its amazing gameplay and vast open world make it a masterpiece.

After more than a decade of waiting, Hideaki Itsuno's creature finally sees the light of day: Dragon's Dogma 2 is not only the return of a title that has become a cult favorite, but also the leap forward that all fans have been waiting for with hope in their hearts. The same heart that is the cross and delight of Capcom's production capable of delivering a one-of-a-kind fantasy experience, uncompromising and without reaching out to the player. As futuristic at some junctures as it is pleasantly retro at others, this is an action RPG not to be missed!

A very fun game but with various idiosyncracies and also performance issues. Fans of the first game should definitely buy it, others might want to think about it a bit more.
Hideaki Itsuno breathes new life into another historic Capcom IP, and once again, the developer does not disappoint by delivering a grandiose and emotionally charged production. Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't surprise on the one hand, adhering to the style of its prequel, but on the other hand it manages to enchant with its brilliant graphics and fights. This is one of those games where you won't want to use fast travel, because every journey is an adventure. Capcom has an intriguing universe on its hands that deserves to be developed further in the future. Dragon's Dogma 2 has the potential to delight and enchant us again.

'Dragon's Dogma 2' manages to sand down what didn't work in the original without compromising on its ideals, producing a fascinating, danger-filled open-world adventure.
Its level of player freedom is unmatched, and its pawn system is the most intricate and rewarding companion system in any RPG to date. The world is filled with detail, environmental storytelling, deep and twisted plots, an abundance of content, and a wealth of interesting characters and creatures. Dragon's Dogma 2 is perfect.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a game that understands what makes an open world enjoyable. The game is confident in its systems and refuses to undercut them by including features like readily available fast travel and checklists that are commonplace in more mediocre open worlds. Instead, it asks the player to engage in its world on its terms and refuses to compromise for convenience. It is a bold philosophy that may repel some players.
Dragon's Dogma 2 grabs you by the throat with its sublime open-world, intense combat, and exceptional monster design, making it a strong contender for GOTY 2024.

As it stands, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a good action RPG with some thrilling monster combat. However, it could be so much more. Technical issues and some poor design choices hold back what could've been a truly fantastic game. There's still hope for it to become that, but this never should've been a concern in the first place.
Intense, engaging, and unquestionably a title that remains focused on realizing a vision that has been developed since the original, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a crowning achievement when it comes to providing an incredible hardcore RPG experience. This is a game that is not afraid to be different, and it is so much more enticing because of it.
Though hardcore RPG lovers may not be so impressed, I enjoyed the fun and unusual elements of this title. Furthermore, the world is massive, the quests are interesting, and the vocation mechanic was an excellent choice. Accordingly, I love this and I recommend buying it here! Can you fulfil your potential? Grab your pawn, explore the world, and get your revenge.
The frustrations caused by repetitive encounters and slow traversal give way to fun combat, an exciting variety of monsters, meaningful progression, and a world built for exciting, emergent moments.
The road to Dragon’s Dogma 2 was a long and winding one, but the result is well worth the wait.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is a good RPG, but it could be a bit better if the developers polished it up a bit more and avoided some of the more nonsensical design decisions, and worked on optimization way more.

Dragon's Dogma 2 essentially reprises and enhances the concepts from its predecessor, focusing on exploration and engaging combat. While it generally succeeds, the game suffers from repetitiveness in enemies and combat, and has notable optimization issues. Despite these flaws, it remains a must-play for action RPG enthusiasts and fans of immersive worlds.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is another game in which Capcom confirms its ability to provide wonderful games with a very distinctive playing style by presenting this time an unparalleled pawn system, and rich and wonderful exploration, but it failed to prove itself in the technical aspect, as this aspect greatly affected the level of the game. Also the in-game purchases are very harmful to the game's rating.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is the work that Hideaki Itsuno would have liked to crown twelve years ago, but without the proper means and finances, he never managed to complete. The title presents itself as an action RPG certainly not without flaws, many of which lie in the optimisation of the title due to the perhaps improper use of a graphics engine not designed for an open world. The real strength of Dragon's Dogma 2, however, lies in its portrayal of a world as vast as it is alive and full of adventures to be experienced, thanks also to a revolutionary AI present in very few other productions.

Overall, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a superb entry from Capcom that players have to contend with on two fronts. On one hand, the combat and gameplay experience is top-notch. Exploration is encouraged, the world is intriguing, and the sense of discovery is just phenomenal. There aren’t a lot of games that can successfully do this, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 does it effortlessly, and in spades. On the other hand, and equally as important, is if you, as a player, can contend and deal with its frustrating and unapologetically “old-school” mechanics. With games in this day and age focusing more and more on hand-holding and with some respecting your time more, there are some features in Capcom’s latest that will really grind your gears. How much are you willing to sacrifice to deal with them?
