Instead, it asks the player to engage in its world on its terms and refuses to compromise for convenience. It is a bold philosophy that may repel some players.
Dragon's Dogma 2 grabs you by the throat with its sublime open-world, intense combat, and exceptional monster design, making it a strong contender for GOTY 2024.

As it stands, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a good action RPG with some thrilling monster combat. However, it could be so much more. Technical issues and some poor design choices hold back what could've been a truly fantastic game. There's still hope for it to become that, but this never should've been a concern in the first place.
Intense, engaging, and unquestionably a title that remains focused on realizing a vision that has been developed since the original, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a crowning achievement when it comes to providing an incredible hardcore RPG experience. This is a game that is not afraid to be different, and it is so much more enticing because of it.
Though hardcore RPG lovers may not be so impressed, I enjoyed the fun and unusual elements of this title. Furthermore, the world is massive, the quests are interesting, and the vocation mechanic was an excellent choice. Accordingly, I love this and I recommend buying it here! Can you fulfil your potential? Grab your pawn, explore the world, and get your revenge.
The frustrations caused by repetitive encounters and slow traversal give way to fun combat, an exciting variety of monsters, meaningful progression, and a world built for exciting, emergent moments.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is another game in which Capcom confirms its ability to provide wonderful games with a very distinctive playing style by presenting this time an unparalleled pawn system, and rich and wonderful exploration, but it failed to prove itself in the technical aspect, as this aspect greatly affected the level of the game. Also the in-game purchases are very harmful to the game's rating.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is the work that Hideaki Itsuno would have liked to crown twelve years ago, but without the proper means and finances, he never managed to complete. The title presents itself as an action RPG certainly not without flaws, many of which lie in the optimisation of the title due to the perhaps improper use of a graphics engine not designed for an open world. The real strength of Dragon's Dogma 2, however, lies in its portrayal of a world as vast as it is alive and full of adventures to be experienced, thanks also to a revolutionary AI present in very few other productions.

Overall, Dragonâs Dogma 2 is a superb entry from Capcom that players have to contend with on two fronts. On one hand, the combat and gameplay experience is top-notch. Exploration is encouraged, the world is intriguing, and the sense of discovery is just phenomenal. There arenât a lot of games that can successfully do this, and Dragonâs Dogma 2 does it effortlessly, and in spades. On the other hand, and equally as important, is if you, as a player, can contend and deal with its frustrating and unapologetically âold-schoolâ mechanics. With games in this day and age focusing more and more on hand-holding and with some respecting your time more, there are some features in Capcomâs latest that will really grind your gears. How much are you willing to sacrifice to deal with them?
Dragonâs Dogma 2 is exactly what I wanted; an updated sequel that still hold true to what made the first game so beloved. While it may not be perfect with its lack luster visuals and performance, it more than makes up for in deep gameplay and addicting exploration. The Pawn system still remains one of the coolest party systems in an RPG, and I love the dynamic feel of them. This is absolutely a game of the year contender and may be my personal game of the year already.
Dragon's Dogma 2 almost passed with honors, but misses the mark with unnecessary and superfluous in-game items for real money. Graphically the game is usually beautiful, but there is still some work to be done here, just like with the sound and some controls? Is it a cult classic or not? I don't dare say that yet, but the game does a lot right, but also a number of things not. Time will tell whether Capcom will address the concerns that have been going back and forth across the web or not. Does the game have a decent replay value? Strangely enough, there is always something to discover and, as with other open world games, new things are discovered by gamers years and sometimes hundreds of hours later.

When I first started playing, I thought for sure I had a game-of-the-year candidate in my hands. If Dragons Dogma 2 wasnât such an unbalanced mess, it would be one of the best games released this year. The good news is, Dragonsâs Dogma 2 can be fixed. We shouldnât have to wait or hope for it to be fixed in the first place, but Capcom could certainly address the issue in an update. I sincerely hope they do, because Dragonâs Dogma 2 is begging to be a great game, the awful lack of scaling is the only thing standing its way.
In the grand scheme of things, Capcom has delivered a sequel to make Dragonâs Dogma fans happy and wishing for more, but this isnât a massive upgrade. Rather, itâs a modernization of the overall concept as the highs and lows of the first game mirror the sequel. If you can weather the storm that is Dragonâs Dogma 2, you might come out as one of the players who consider this one of the best RPG experiences theyâve ever played, or simply the worst.
While there's clearly a fantastic and unique game here, heavy PC performance issues make it difficult to enjoy it fully at this point in time.
Dragon's Dogma 2 offers an experience with both dated and innovative elements. The story, on the other hand, remains rather anonymous and unmemorable, but if you are looking for a challenging game that will surprise you between exploration and creativity, then you need look no further.
