Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 Reviews
Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 takes important strides forward on graphics, presentation and game modes, while out-performing its arch-rival FIFA on the pitch. Official team names, more accessible game modes and some tweaks to tackling would all be welcome, but it's great to see Konami's football game back on form.
One popular view holds that EA's FIFA is for football fans while Konami's PES is for gamers. That still holds true with Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 but that's not necessarily an insult. PES is fun, challenging, and rewarding, which is what every sports game should strive to be.
A top notch soccer sim that deserves your attention this holiday.
A triumphant return for PES this year, after spending many years rotting away in the lower leagues. While PES 2015 might not match EA and FIFA's spending power in terms of licenses and what not, where it matters, on the pitch, this ageing superstar is getting a recall to the first eleven.
FIFA still has the style and the flair of bringing an authentic looking presentation, but if you want great football on the pitch, then there is only one choice this year, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015.
If football games are your passion, if they're something you play regularly for the love of the game, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 obliterates this year's FIFA.

After a few submissive years, Konami has put forth a game that caters to soccer fans with superb flexibility for creative expression, fluid gameplay and astoundingly intelligent AI. The lack of licensed clubs and presentation standards well below the competition make it appear like a sub-par package, but it won't take long on the pitch to realize the quality of the soccer PES 2015 is build around.
While still having room to grow, PES 2015 is an overall much-improved product. Now when people ask which game -- FIFA or PES -- we'll finally have to stop and think.
With the mantra 'the pitch is ours', PES 15 believes that it has done enough to usurp the title from the FIFA franchise. While PES 15 has improved on a number of features, there are some issues that dampened my experience. Pro Evolution Soccer 15 might have played well, but FIFA definitely still owns the pitch.
The goal has been simple for Konami; make the beautiful game beautiful to play. On that score alone PES wins hands down and the gauntlet has truly been thrown down for next year's derby clash. It seems that those big signings haven't guaranteed FIFA the title.
Konami have, after a long time, brought themselves back into the fight with the FIFA series with a shout, thanks to a massive improvement over PES 2014 in every possibly way. PES 2015 is probably the best PES game till date.
When it comes to action on the pitch, PES 2015 has no rival. Veterans of the series will be delighted as the familiar magic is back.
If you have a console, get Pro Evo 2015 on that. If you're a PC-only football fan, this is a functional if lacklustre port of a great match engine with broken online support.
Overall it's a welcome return to form for loyal PES fans. The presentation and usability has been improved and the core gameplay dynamics have been finetuned. In a lot of ways it offers a more balanced and more intelligent game of football than its rival, but PES 2015 still doesn't have that depth and accessibility to lure FIFA players away just yet. Next year however, we could see a serious head-to-head for best football game
As ever before, the two are absolutely worlds apart. It's not something we'd necessarily say is a must, but there's no real harm in owning both footballing giants. They both offer something unique to them that makes them a worthwhile experience, but if you're after true mastery then you're best off dedicating your time to just one. The choice boils down to a few key points, and if you can overlook the licensing issues and lacklustre presentation then PES 2015 delivers an awesome game of football that could swallow you up for months to come.
The pretender has had its time in the sun, its 15 minutes of fame, but the King is back, long live the King! Pro Evolution Soccer is once again the Daddy of virtual football!
I am very happy to see that PES has come onto the new generation of consoles in style, and of a quality that is competitive with a series many times its budget. The world would be worse off without this alternative to FIFA, and without an alternative that presents a different understanding of the sport of football (or soccer, depending on where you are in the world). It might be irritating that there aren't enough licensed teams, but I do think the football purists will prefer the on-the-pitch action of this game.

With a new console generation, now is as good time as any to rebuild a legacy, and PES 2015 looks to have taken that opportunity. While not without a share of problems, the title lays a solid foundation for the future of this football franchise.
