As a debut release, Sorry We’re Closed exceeds every expectation. Joining Michelle on her adventure to free herself from her breakup is an adventure I will never forget. I couldn’t stop playing and I’m excited to find out what the other endings hold for me. It is a very worthy addition to any horror fan’s library. As a result, I have to give Sorry We’re Closed the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
Sorry We're Closed is a gripping, unique experience that will appeal to fans of psychological horror and puzzles. Its atmosphere and story make it worth the challenge. However, its relative lack of action may turn off some players.
À La Mode Games have crafted a great indie experience here, and the transition to consoles from PC has been a successful one. With extra modes available, the experience is even bigger now, and with a unique premise and execution, Sorry We’re Closed is now just the beginning of a fruitful future for the studio. Don’t miss out on this, especially if you’re a survival horror fan!
Love is a curse in Sorry We’re Closed, an action-adventure game that presents itself as a tribute to horror titles while seeking a new, more narrative-driven and provocative identity.

Sorry We’re Closed is one of the best games I’ve played this year. Contextually, it struck me with its storytelling wrapped-up in a tight survival horror package and delivered in short form. Ported to consoles, it runs flawlessly with no issues and an expanded option set and new modes, making Sorry We’re Closed on consoles an excellent option for play.
Despite this, I don't want to write the game off right away. The unique atmosphere, the bizarre story and the cocktail of diverse characters, each one crazier than the other, give the game a surrealistic feel. As if you are actually watching a Gaspar Noé film. It is not for everyone, but if you like a unique story and don't shy away from extremely flamboyant characters, you will definitely appreciate this game.

Sorry We’re Closed is going to hit a set of people in their early 2000s nostalgia. For the rest there is a weird and compelling game that feels like a throwback that is also fresh.
Sorry We’re Closed is a title that I highly recommend to survival horror fans, especially those looking for something innovative and creative within this genre that, fortunately, has been showing that it is back in full force.

Sorry We're Closed is a bizarre and sexy horror game, with an immediately eye-catching aesthetic and an awesome truth seeing mechanic.
Although there were aspects of this game that I had a hard time vibing with, overall, I think this is a fun game if you’re in the mood for some 90’s 90s-style survival horror. And maybe if I was simply in the mood for this type of game, I would have enjoyed it more. It certainly isn’t a bad game, and I hope no one has that takeaway from my review. I think anyone who likes this style of game should absolutely check it out!
Sorry We're Closed is a beautiful horror game that opts not to use the terror that players would expect. Instead, it focuses on crafting a beautiful story focused on the concept of love, plus creating characters, gameplay mechanics, and an artistic direction that will stay with you long after the credits roll. Despite the lack of emphasis on horror, the game is still an unforgettable experience that I will be thinking about for a long time.
Despite some problems, Sorry We're Closed carves a niche in the survival horror genre with a particular art style, interesting mechanics and a story that knows how to catch.

Sorry We’re Closed is one hell of a game. It throws a ton of ideas into a blender and comes out with a retro-action horror quite unlike anything else I played. It has such a great concept and stunning visual style that really sets it apart from the competition.
Sorry We're Closed emphasizes the fear in love, heartbreak, and change in a survival horror with an impeccable presentation and art style.
Sorry We’re Closed is a creative approach to a familiar genre, and the best horror game I’ve played this past month. This is not the kind of horror game that will leave you jumping out of your chair, but rather the kind of slow burn that you feel in your chest and sometimes just beneath your skin. À La Mode Games has created a horror world that I can’t wait to return to in future replays. I worked hard to get the worst ending the first time—one that took my breath away and didn’t need a Third Eye to rip my heart out. I want to earn the remaining endings and have the opportunity to fall in love with this gem again and again.
Sorry, We’re Closed is a marvel, not only visually with its ostentatious character design and gaudy depictions of heaven and hell, but in its daring storytelling of the warped depictions of love that we can get caught chasing. Its mix of fixed camera angles and swapping of third and first-person perspectives makes for tense scenarios throughout, and Michelle’s third eye and Heartbreaker are both satisfying additions to the combat. Sorry, We’re Closed is one hell of a survival horror!
Sorry We're Closed is a pleasant surprise this year, just like TEVI was in the previous one. I was expecting only an unusual visual mix in a horror game but ended up enjoying the drama of the angels in love with demons, trying to get rid of a curse, and comprehend every one's view on "love". Even with some mechanic issues, I ended up satisfied with the experience and I'll be watching closely what à la mode games comes up with in the future.

Sorry We're Closed is an adventure that manages to stand out for its fusion of classic elements and innovation, fully capturing the essence of survival horror. It is a title that aims to offer much more than a simple scary experience, offering an introspective journey that invites the player to reflect and confront their own demons and personal difficulties. Despite some technical flaws and the change between fixed camera and first-person view that may be unintuitive for some, the game shines with its overflowing personality. Its strength lies in its ability to convey deep emotions, offering a unique experience with a strong narrative impact.
