Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector Reviews
Citizen Sleeper 2 is an engaging space RPG for those who enjoy games heavy on writing and narrative, but it falls a bit short due to its reluctance to better explore the visual aspect.

Ultimately, I think that Citizen Sleeper 2 is a slightly better game than the first with equally incredible writing. Unfortunately, it also feels a bit like the difference between The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, but in reverse. By locking you into one location, the first game forced you to learn about and fall in love with that place and the people who lived there. In Citizen Sleeper 2 I love the crew that travels through the belt with me, but I’m finding I connect with the locations I visit and their inhabitants way, way less.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is an ambitious narrative game. Its blend of TTRPG mechanics, compelling storytelling, and strategic gameplay made it a standout game for me. For those seeking a story rich, narrative experience will find Citizen Sleeper 2 to be a standout game that I would recommend.
Citizen Sleeper 2 is phenomenal, evocative, and haunting. The minimal visuals are flawlessly supported by the writing. Gut-wrenching expressions and touchingly lonely scenes flow out of the masterful descriptions. The audio design had me rocketing from dawning dread to heart-pumping motivation. And in the end, I was forced into the hero’s dilemma in a way that cemented this game as one of the year’s best.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is bigger in every facet with more locations to explore, more characters to meet, more story to read and more systems to manage. But with an increase in sheer scale, my journey has felt less significant as a result. I'm a mouth piece of a story being told rather than a Sleeper choosing my path. Whilst that leads to something more definitive, it loses the feeling of being mine. Citizen Sleeper 2 is a sci-fi world that's hard to compare and powerful in its writing, audio/visuals and gameplay making it a must-play dice driven RPG overall.
Citizen Sleeper 2 is a timely story about hope in the face of collapse and how the inevitability of endings can’t negate nobility, sacrifice, or human connections. Although it doesn’t offer as much narrative freedom as suggested by its expansive maps, the strength and depth of its stories more than recommend a play.
Citizen Sleeper 2 builds on a strong story, well-written characters and a unique dice mechanic that delivers tension and strategy. The open world and deep themes give the game an unforgettable atmosphere. If you like text-based RPGs with an emphasis on decision-making and survival in an inhospitable universe, this game will suck you in.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a special game, that shapes itself around your decisions and map your fate by chance as much as choice.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector takes the narrative strength of the first game one step further. The new crew mechanics and the contract missions add wonderfully to the already established strengths and make the gaming experience a grandiose sci-fi RPG and an unforgettable experience for all those who don't mind the purely text-based presentation.

Citizen Sleeper 2 is a very special game indeed, a rare indie sequel and an even rarer one that betters its predecessor in almost every single way. From its writing, to its characters, exploration, contracts and surprisingly deep systems, it is a total package. I could not put my pad down, even if I wanted to, and adored the challenge right from the word go. While it definitely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, you simply must see and experience to truly believe how damn good it is and why it’s the first must-play game of 2025.
Man, machine or both? Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector tells the story of its protagonist with great linguistic skill and an ingenious dice mechanic.

Citizen Sleeper 2’s blend of strong writing with mechanical systems that provide meaningful consequences creates a phenomenal RPG. With an alluring world, a cast of likable characters, and text that creates better pictures than some of the best graphics I’ve seen, this is easily one of the finest RPGs that is out there.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is an immersive narrative RPG that doubles down on its predecessor's bet, putting the humanity of its characters as the centerpiece of the experience. It's a charismatic and compelling sci-fi work and a very high quality game that is an easy recommendation for any player.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector builds on everything that made the original great, introducing new features that elevate the experience. Its twisting, turning narrative, refined mechanics, and atmospheric world make it a great standout in the indie sci-fi genre.
Let me put it this way. This game is not for everyone. There is minimal gameplay and the gameplay that is there can be frustratingly random at times. You are completely dependent on the dice. That said, the story is just as wonderfully written as the first game and the atmosphere sucks you into the world. If you are a fan of narrative games or science fiction and you are looking for a game that you can relax and play without too much action, then I would definitely recommend making this your next game.

Citizen Sleeper 2 did an incredible job of leaving me feeling desperate and like I was struggling to survive in a terrifying galaxy where every decision mattered.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector perfects the dice-based RPG genre even more than its predecessor. While it can be overwhelming at first having to keep track of the many things you need to remember to stay alive, once you’ve got the main mechanics down, it will all be second nature and you can spend more time appreciating its story which is compelling, action-packed and expertly crafted.
I'm still thinking about Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. It traps you mercilessly in its universe, thanks to its script and setting. The new gameplay features are great and it deepens the narrative of the universe, creating a more cohesive and credible world, which transcends even the Sleeper protagonist. If you like role-playing and board games, it is for you, although it is not in Spanish.

Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector did all the right things to improve on the first game, they didn’t over do it either. There was no need to absolutely destroy the wonderful structure and solid foundation the series has. So instead they decided to innovate on this and make the game more challenging for those that seek it. While also bring a few new things in to keep interest. The idea of having your own crew and travelling the wonderfully crafted world is nothing short of perfect. Whilst it may not be to everyone’s taste, it certainly was mine. With all this being said I will be awarding Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
