Patapon 1+2 Replay Reviews
PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY lovingly modernizes two highly original PlayStation Portable classics, preserving their soul while polishing the experience with technical improvements and accessibility. While it lacks extra content and the full multiplayer mode of Patapon 2, it's still a highly recommended collection for learning about or remembering this beloved franchise.

PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY isn’t trying to reinvent the series. It doesn’t need to. These two games stand tall as some of the most original titles ever made for a handheld, and they work just as well now with a controller in hand and the volume up. It’s a love letter to fans and a gateway drug for newcomers. The drums are calling. The tribe is waiting. And the beat goes on.
Patapon 1+2 Replay is highly recommended, especially for those who enjoy games that are different from the norm or those who played the original years ago. It's still full of charm, and the sounds and music will stay stuck in your head for days. But it's a shame that Patapon 3 wasn't included.

PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is still and excellent rhythm game, that aged well. The lack of real new improvements and additions to these games disappoint a bit but for the low price you get two great games in one package and if you haven't played the original games, you should still check it out.

There’s no need for too many words here. Patapon is a game that takes you back to the creative golden days, reminding us of a time when everything was driven by pure artistic energy - not cold financial reports. This one’s not to be missed!

Sorry if I interrupted your rhythm. Unfortunately, Patapon's time period is different, but that doesn't mean it's no longer good. On the contrary, it still has all the charm it had during the PSP era, but it also seemed right at home on that console. I'd even venture to say the Patapons themselves were designed with Sony's classic handheld in mind. Its mission structure is something that can be enjoyed in short bursts of play, on a trip, during lunch, or perhaps while waiting for the microwave to heat up your food. The missions are so short that it's possible to complete one or two, perhaps speeding up all the unnecessary grinding in the game before dedicating yourself to beating it.

Patapon 1+2 Replay isn't trying to reinvent the franchise born from Japan Studio’s creativity. Still, it's a great chance to relive these iconic rhythm-based adventures. Presented in their original form with minimal touch-ups and helpful accessibility options, they remain simple yet charming experiences. At a fair price, the timeless gameplay alone makes it worth revisiting—especially for newcomers or longtime fans, 18 years after the original debut.

Patapon 1+2 Replay is a fantastic recreation of the PSP classics, given a glorious new lick of paint and sound, sometimes to its own fault with the game feeling a bit dated and bare bones at points. Patapon’s charm, vibrance and catchiness helps keep the experience compelling and enjoyable despite some frustration and it’s still a wonderfully smart rhythm strategy game that everyone should make the time to play at least once.
Patapon 1 and 2 Replay remasters and presents the first two games in a satisfying package. For fans of the original games, there aren’t many surprises, but newcomers will find a cute and fun, albeit repetitive, experience.
Patapon 1+2 Replay isn’t the most exciting remaster collection, but it is incredibly enjoyable and accessible to newcomers.
Patapon is one of the few games that seamlessly combines music and physics. It feels completely at home on the Nintendo Switch, giving the Patapon tribe another opportunity to march, chant, and rule.
Patapon 1+2 Replay is a somewhat lackluster celebration of a series with a lot of charm. The first game feels like an experiment, but Patapon 2 is a marvel of rhythm and strategy. It's a shame that the opportunity wasn't taken to fix some of the bugs they have. It's a compilation with a couple of new features to make them more accessible and little else, but they're a lot of fun. The second one is a marvel.

Patapon 1+2 Replay brings back two of the PSP’s most unique rhythm-strategy games with sharper visuals, smooth performance, and a few helpful tweaks. The core gameplay is still fun and challenging, and Patapon 2 gives you more to mess around with. There’s nothing new in terms of content or story, but the rhythm-command loop still feels great.
Patapon 1+2 Replay offers an irresistible march to the beat of its drum. Though it eschews radical reinvention, this collection's harmonious blend of sight, sound, and strategy makes it an essential purchase for anyone craving a unique, upbeat challenge.
"A musical masterpiece that lives on." Patapon 1+2 Replay isn't just a remake; it's a creative celebration of a rhythm-strategy game that left a special mark on mobile gaming history. With significant performance and graphical improvements, and a fun-packed gameplay experience that blends challenge and fun, this bundle represents the best way to experience the series.
