ARC Raiders stands out as one of the most welcoming and rewarding extraction shooters ever, striking a near-perfect balance between risk and reward. Unlike most extraction shooters, ARC Raiders offers a lighter and more forgiving approach that encourages experimentation, cooperation, and exploration, prioritizing fun above all else. The game is definitely the best game I have played this year.
It's alright if you still can't warm up to the idea of extraction shooters, but if you were to ever consider the genre, Arc Raiders is inarguably the place to start. It's an incredibly deep, well-polished, and accessible extraction shooter that helps you along your way, while still remaining immensely fun every minute you're playing it.
Arc Raiders is the extraction shooter we all needed. It is approachable, challenging, and puts player choices front and center. This is one of the most successful live-service games of all time.
Arc Raiders blends heart-pounding tension, a gorgeous world, and pure cinematic spectacle into something truly memorable across its thrilling PvPvE action. It captures the danger and excitement of the extraction genre perfectly, offering a world that feels alive in every storm, every skirmish, and every fleeting alliance formed under pressure. It’s a not just a ton fun to play but also endlessly rewarding, with every victory or safe extraction bringing with it a deep satisfaction that helps push your progression through the game. And when you do die? It’s normally because of something exciting, so you never mind too much (except when it’s because you’re rolling solo and have simply been outnumbered by rival players). It does have a few little flaws, but these are small blemishes on an otherwise remarkable experience. Arc Raiders is consistently exhilarating, setting a new benchmark for cooperative shooters that’ll be hard for rival releases to match. With plenty of new content on the horizon, I can see myself playing Arc Raiders for a very, very long time…
It's hard to recommend ARC Raiders to anyone but the fiercely devoted. If it had dared to think outside of the limitations of the extraction shooter genre, it could have come upon something really special.
Beautiful, accessible, and offering an alternative goal to simply finishing first, ARC Raiders is sure to appeal to a somewhat niche audience. The solo experience can be frustrating, so team up and communicate to prevent the game from becoming repetitive. To achieve this, the game will need to diversify its maps in the near future.

Arc Raiders has definitely won us over: its settings are evocative, its sound design is excellent, and we haven't encountered any technical issues. But above all, we're talking about an extremely fun game that makes us want to try one new extraction after another. The threats do not lie solely in the ARCs, the robotic enemies that rule the post-apocalyptic world built by Embark, but also and above all in our fellow human raiders, ready to steal our resources. Prepare yourself for some tense moments!

ARC Raiders seems to be a good contender for the extraction shooter genre, offering solid, if familiar genre gameplay and a unique aesthetic. However, overpriced monetization plagues this already pay-to-play title, and as something of a tourist to the extraction shooter genre, I can’t personally say that ARC Raiders does anything too different or exciting, proving to be an inoffensive experience, albeit one that failed to win me over.
ARC Raiders blends cinematic flair with extraction-shooter grit, delivering stylish action and just enough fresh ideas to stand out in a crowded genre. Its fast-paced mechanics, striking presentation, and surprisingly solid story keep it engaging—though console players may feel a stumble or two. Still, it’s definitely a raid worth dropping into.
ARC Raiders nails the fundamentals of extraction shooters with its tight gunplay, exciting loot and map designs rife with ambush locations. Its special blend of player-versus-player-versus-freakishly-intelligent-robot gameplay will enrapture extraction-shooter fans and newcomers alike.
