Order of Giants gives players who enjoyed The Great Circle another chance to step into Indy’s shoes and crack some satisfying puzzles. It tells a story that feels true to the character, with enough intrigue to justify its existence. It looks good, runs well, and captures the spirit of the franchise. But it also leaves you wanting more.

"An authentic expansion that elevates the original game." Indiana Jones and the Order of Giants offers a well-crafted side-scrolling experience that combines exploration, puzzles, and the series' distinctive historical atmosphere. Despite the lack of big-budget action scenes, the expansion makes up for it with stunning art design and solid technical performance, making it a worthwhile journey, especially for Indy fans.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is a short but fun trip back into Indy’s world. The puzzles steal the show, combat leans more on stealth, and exploring Rome has plenty of little secrets to find. It’s missing the big setpieces of the main game, and the last fight is a bit clunky, but it’s still a solid Indy side story worth checking out.

The Order of Giants expands Indy’s world in The Great Circle with care, offering strong storytelling, atmospheric design, and a polished gameplay loop. Yet uneven combat balance, weaker puzzles, and a slightly constrained setting keep it from perfection. What it does well, it does with confidence, and it makes this DLC a worthy addition that proves great expansions don’t need to reinvent the wheel to succeed.

Nine months is a bit too long of a wait for this DLC to truly recommend returning to the game for, but newer players who will have it folded into their organic playthrough are in for a tough but enjoyable addition to an already excellent game.

Overall, The Order of Giants doesn’t bring much new to the world of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Instead it builds on a great foundation with an enjoyable, albeit short, additional chapter. If you enjoyed the Great Circle and want more Indiana Jones you won’t come away disappointed by this DLC. You may however come out a little stinky after spending the vast majority of your time in the sewers of Rome.

For those who missed it, Indiana Jones and the Order of the Giants delivers exactly that: more Indiana Jones. The expansion maintains the hallmarks of the base game: paced combat, challenging puzzles, and mysteries to investigate. However, it offers few new features, adds little to the main narrative, and can be a bit pricey, considering the relatively short campaign. Reliving one of my favorite games of 2024 was fun, but the expansion isn't exactly memorable.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of the Giants is the chance to once again don the whip and hat to relive the experiences of the popular Indiana Jones in a new adventure that complements the main campaign.

The Order of the Giants is a well-crafted expansion that shines through meticulous detail, especially in its faithful recreation of Rome’s landmarks. More intimate and exploration-focused than the main campaign, it delivers atmosphere, strong level design, and an engaging story. While less epic in scope, it captures Indiana Jones’ spirit, offering fans an essential, captivating new adventure.

The Order of the Giants is an add-on that is well worth checking out. It's not perfect, of course: the puzzles could have been more daring, and the balance between stealth and combat could have been refined further. But the writing, setting and overall pace deliver everything you would expect from an Indy adventure. Needless to say, this DLC is a must-buy for anyone who loved The Great Circle.

For $20, Order of the Giants is more Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but with less spectacle and more of exploring forgotten ruins and swinging around with your whip. While there are some locations that flavor that whip swinging, the DLC only teases us with what was so great about the main campaign. Personally, I think it is a fine enough adventure, but one that just didn’t wow me or remind me what I loved about the base game. Baker is back with his impeccable Harrison Ford impression, but I just wish he had more to chew on this time.

The Order of Giants epitomizes what a DLC should be. An incredible gaming experience, rather than a simple cash grab. This DLC is, as they say nowadays, absolute cinema. It felt good to reprise the role of Indy and enter a brand-new adventure that brings immersion to a whole new level.

Indiana Jones and The Order of Giants doesn’t quite rise to the incredible heights of the original game’s story, but what’s here is more of what I wanted. More incredible locations, puzzles and maze-like tombs, dripping with atmosphere and history. What more could a budding archaeologist ask for?
