Taking an interesting approach by freely drawing inspiration from well-known stories and settings, Mirage 7 offers a classic narrative exploration adventure with survival and combat elements. In this regard, it only partially achieves its goal, stumbling over outdated mechanics and unjustifiably dated aesthetic elements, which unfortunately results in a mediocre and forgettable game.

Mirage 7 tries to be bigger and bolder than its small budget would allow, and I guess this is its biggest weakness. Its developers tried to fly too close to then sun. This game tries to be a puzzler, an action game, a story-driven adventure, but it never truly focuses on a single elements in order to make it feel less shallow. You can’t just make something that tries to resemble Uncharted and Prince of Persia in such a shoestring budget, and with such poor controls. I commend the developers’ ambition, but this just isn’t very good. And I doubt patches alone would solve all of its problems.

I think that sometimes it’s necessary to be aware of one’s limitations and let a work shine because of just one thing.

Mirage 7 is an interesting twist on the indie market. It offers something a little unusual that takes a step back in time. I’m not sure it will appeal to a massive audience, but lovers of nostalgia will fall for its charms. Furthermore, the use of a lizard companion to aid you on your quest was interesting. Accordingly, I think it is niche, but good, and I recommend getting a copy from the Xbox store!

The action in Mirage 7 isn't very different, and the puzzles can slow down the game sometimes, but these flaws never completely overpower the game's strengths. Because it cares more about mood and creativity than about flash, Mirage 7 is a thoughtful independent adventure game.

Mirage 7 is the sort of adventure that reminds you of a different era of game design. It focuses on storytelling, exploration and puzzle solving rather than complex systems or endless upgrades. The combat can feel repetitive, and some technical rough spots appear here and there, but the game’s creativity and atmosphere help carry it through. The story, interesting world and enjoyable puzzles make it easy to stay invested in Nadira’s journey. It might not be a flawless experience, but it’s an engaging one. If you enjoy narrative-driven adventures with a focus on exploration and problem-solving, Mirage 7 is definitely worth a look.

A striking premise held back by rough edges and technical trouble.

"Arab Folklore with Science Fiction" Mirage 7 offers a narrative action experience with a distinct identity, blending Arabian legend with science fiction in a mysterious desert setting. The game's strength lies in its world and core concepts, particularly the exploration and crafting system, which maintains the overall rhythm without being jarring. However, the combat needs further development to match the narrative and visual ambitions.
