In conclusion, Metro Redux isn’t really my thing.
There are little complaints on both ends, but none of them make the games uninteresting. That being said, there are long loading times afoot and games are a little on the darker side of things. If you have an eye for detail and are in for terrific time, then both 2033 and Last Night are journeys worth having.
Available digitally as two separate games, or physically as a collection of both games on a single 16GB cart, Metro Redux pushes the Switch to its limits and delivers an amazing experience both visually and in terms of the performance. Replaying these games reminded me just how good this series is, the depth, setting, environments, and story are all very immersive and engrossing, pulling you within their world and keeping you engaged right until the credits roll. Despite having a few compromises on the Nintendo Switch versions, the developers hit a perfect balance and were able to keep the identity and gameplay intact without sacrificing any mechanics or modes.
Metro Redux is finally on the Switch, offering some classic FPS experiences that hold up on the portable console with very few issues.
The ports of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light Redux on Switch are really surprising from a technical point of view. The gloomy and overwhelming feeling of the scenarios conflicts with the portability of the Nintendo console, but this should be considered as an invitation to play after dark...

Metro Redux for Nintendo Switch is not ideal, but a good port of a very non-trivial shooter with a lot of interesting ideas and a careful approach to small details. Thanks to Switch, you can plunge into the sticky atmosphere of the catacombs of the Moscow metro in any place and at any time.

Metro Redux is yet another triumphant port for the Nintendo Switch, presenting a duo of brilliant survival horror shooters to an audience who might have never experienced them before. While they've been burdened with noticeable visual compromises, they still look and perform competently enough that you'll hardly notice the difference.
While the games themselves are fairly solid, nothing about them stands out quite enough to warrant purchasing them again unless you are a die hard fan of the franchise.
Regardless of your feelings on the first two Metro games—which are quite good in their own right—this is a masterful portable collection handled with an expert hand by the games' original developers.
GREAT - For the first time on a Nintendo system, both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light come together in one package. They both run great on the system – even in handheld mode! If you’re looking for a fun post-apocalyptic survival shooter than Metro Redux should fit the bill nicely.

A very impressive port of two games that still feel different 10 years later. The lighting is a problem in handheld mode, but in an indoor setting it's a great way to play the series.
Overall, both Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux are great shooters that you should certainly play if you're a fan of the genre. While almost nothing about these titles is game-changing, the content they provide is still worth the price of admission. Most of the few gripes I have become non-issues once you figure out how to work around them, and those that remain aren't too disastrous. So, what are you waiting for? Grab your ticket and come along for the ride!
Metro Redux is a top-notch first-person survival horror package that delivers countless hours of thrilling stealth combat all wrapped up in a superb story. These are two of the most atmospheric games you'll likely play set in a beautifully detailed depiction of post-apocalyptic Russia. 4A Games has delivered a port that stands shoulder to shoulder with Alien: Isolation as the very best we've seen on Switch so far – an almost flawless experience which should absolutely be right at the top of any FPS or survival horror fan's must-buy list. This is essential stuff.
Between 2033 and Last Light, Metro Redux is a must buy for fans of the genre, fans of the medium, and fans of good stories.
If you’ve never played Metro 2033 or Metro Last Light before, consider Metro Redux on Switch a mandatory purchase. You deserve it.
Both Metro 2033 and Last Light play great on Nintendo Switch, but some elements and game mechanics feel outdated. Nintendo Switch version runs at 30 fps and doesn´t reach 1080p resolution.

Next year’s Metro Exodus looks phenomenal and I suspect there are a fair few people who haven’t played 2033 and Last Light yet. The Redux collection is the perfect way to fix that problem before diving into what could be one of the best games of 2019.
