Celebrating two years of hard work, Ultimate Evil Edition is the indeed the ultimate version of Diablo III. Considering the package includes the original game, the Reaper of Souls expansion and immeasurable improvements, it's also a great value. A control scheme perfectly designed for a controller and some of the best co-op yet on PS4 and Xbox One make it worth diving into for players old and new. Delivering the full HD experience, Blizzard's jump to current-gen consoles is a flying success.

It may not shake up the series like the initial console port did, but the game has been refined and distilled into something pretty great all the same. I have an unsubstantiated hunch that there may yet be one more expansion coming, given that D3 has sold 20M copies across all platforms, so we may see more variants of this game yet. For now, enjoy Ultimate Evil as either your 4th go-round in the D3 universe, or your first.

Dungeon crawlers aren't to everyone's taste, but you would be hard pressed to find a better one than Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition on consoles. This is the definitive version of an already great game, and it truly excels on the PS4.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition brings everything we love about the game to current-gen consoles, and the addition of couch co-op makes for a very tempting buy. However, unless you're purchasing it strictly for some local co-op, you'll probably be better served with the PC version.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition is available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but if what you want is to experience the true sensation of playing on a console, I recommend that you try it on consoles. next generation. Blizzard commented that updates coming to PC will also be on consoles, so you'll have the same experience. This version may not be the definitive Diablo III experience, but if you don't have access to the game on your PC, you should definitely give it a try.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is the best hack 'n' slashem on consoles. Blizzard has shown that the mass criticism that has come down to them has been transformed into a product close to ideal. If you haven't played - there's nothing to wonder.

What's the most amazing to me, aside from forcing myself to think of any flaws and not finding any other than server issues, is how I rarely play a game more than once, yet there's something about Diablo III that just beckons to the very core of my soul. My stack of shame is enormous and continually growing, and yet, I somehow always find a reason to replay Diablo III, whether it's to play with friends, to level my character, or to try out a new class. Diablo III is a nice reminder that sometimes it's nice to simply stay awhile, loot things, and then murder all the things that move.

Diablo 3 may have been first on PC, but it is most definitely better on console.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition isn't going to redefine your Diablo experience. It's bigger, shinier and has some nice new content, but in the end, it's the same game. It's a fun mix of killing monsters and collecting loot that has stood the test of time, despite some initial missteps. Ultimate Evil Edition is a strong contender for the best version of the game, with any losses from the PC version bolstered by the console-exclusive features and the enjoyable gamepad-based control scheme. Those who have already played the PS3 version might want to wait for a price drop, but PS4 newcomers will find Diablo III to be well worth the wait.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition is a bumper package for loot hunters but is still not a very interesting game to play once you've been through it once. Long time players will easily get sucked back in to grinding for legendary loot, but the rest may well be mystified by the obsession. Still this is undoubtedly the version to get if you haven't been sucked in before now and all the bells and whistles add to the overall appeal.

If one is really so inclined to play the game, this Ultimate Evil Edition isn’t even the best version to take on. Despite the smart design decisions made porting the typically PC-based game to consoles, the interface makes it more complicated than necessary to find numbers and statistics, digging through menus that lack the finesse of the original PC version, and Adventure mode remains locked until the campaign is complete, a frustrating decision considering how many may have already completed the now two-year-old game on original release.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is aptly named. It has just about everything you could want, from an excellent presentation and supremely solid technical presentation to hours upon hours of blissful looting. The rewards are frequent and much appreciated, the pacing is outstanding, and there's a surprising amount of variety.

The Ultimate Evil Edition is the best version of Diablo III that I have played. Even if you have already played a lot of the game on PC, there is a lot of new content mixed in with the engaging Diablo III systems.

The bottom line is that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition is a fantastic console game that plays, in my opinion, better than the original PC version it's based upon. It's how Diablo III was always meant to be.

I've played my fair share of 'ultimate' or 'definitive' editions of games over the years. Some have warranted the title, presenting truly unique and inspiring updates, while others resulted in nothing more than a rehash of the same game with obligatory DLC thrown in for good measure. 'Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition' undeniably falls into the former of these categories. It's true, I have not played much 'Diablo III' before the 'Ultimate Evil Edition', but my research prior to its release, along with the time spent playing the game as a newcomer, has convinced me that it is much more than a simple port, and that it has been designed (in some cases from scratch) to take full advantage of the technology of the PlayStation 4. Playing alone is certainly an option, but playing together with friends is the preferred method and allows for multiple opportunities to do so. Blizzard Entertainment's continued focus on social integration shines, as does their ability to develop a game that runs amazingly smooth, delivers awe-inspiring visuals, and intuitively captures the imagination and enjoyment of those looking for a grand dungeon crawl, both new to the franchise and long-standing fans.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is a great translation of the core RPG dungeon crawler experience for consoles. While, of course, the PC edition reigns supreme, the PS4 and Xbox One versions aren't that far behind, especially when playing with friends cooperatively, either locally or online.
