Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Reviews
RE7 is a new take on a genre that has more or less died off in the modern age within the AAA publisher space. It embodies a style of game design that we haven't seen from the series since before RE4 changed everything. Resident Evil is back, and I'm already hungry — starved — for more. It's good to be home again.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a game that really struggles to find the new voice that Resident Evil so needs as a franchise. It’s incredibly well designed and executed, and you’re not going to find a game that does VR better than this one.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard grabs the crown of best survival horror back for the series that started the genre. It hearkens back well to the old games in great ways. At times it feels too streamlined for more casual players, but hopefully, this installment will serve as proof that there’s an audience for more games like it. By moving away from the action-oriented gameplay of the last few games, Capcom has brought us one of the best Resident Evil games ever made.
Resident Evil 7 is one of the scariest games released this generation and a return to the form for the series.
Resident Evil 7 doesn’t have much in common with the rest of the franchise, but when the game is this good, it’s hard to complain. Definitely worthwhile for any survival horror fans.
Don't let the change in perspective or the different aesthetics fool you; this is definitely a Resident Evil game, and, even more importantly, one that returns to the core of its roots in the best way possible. Perfect? No. Will players miss the more comic book-like vibe of the original? Sure. However, while Resident Evil 7: Biohazard isn't everyone's cup of stagnant swamp water, it's a cup that everyone should get a taste of, at least once.
Go tell Aunt Rhody she needs to play Resident Evil 7, as it's an absolutely stunning rebirth and return to form for survival horror. This soft reboot has reinvigorated the franchise and brought AAA survival horror back. The future of Resident Evil looks very promising too, since Capcom established that the Bakers have taken plenty of visitors over the years and have filmed them all. These experiences are already set up to be the part of some upcoming DLC and for future instalments this leaves plenty of story threads hanging and questions left to be answered.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a terrifying survival horror experience. It offers the best spooky atmosphere in the franchise with many of the classic mechanics that build the original formula. Yet it has enough new elements to stand his ground amidst similar games. Without doubt, a must play horror experience.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a solid and very enjoyable reinvention of the series. It returns the franchise to its roots and does a great job of updating and improving the archaic PS1 gameplay mechanics without losing the Resident Evil feel. Both the strengths and weaknesses of the franchise are present. The high-tension atmosphere, spooky monsters and cheesy cornball villains combine to create something that is undeniably Resident Evil. Fans of the series should love that it's spooky, silly, and requires you to solve puzzles in order to find a shotgun so you can fight biological horror. Isn't that what Resident Evil is all about?
A unique experience and a welcome change after the 6th game in the series. This is a game that combines what we loved about Resident Evil when it first came out, and a different prespective that adds another dimension to the horror, combat and exploration. This is a great and unique horror game whether you only enjoyed the first few installments in the series, or played through the whole series, or didn't play it at all.

Resident Evil 7 successfully brought the series back to its Survival Horror roots. The development team made key decisions that contributed to this like going back indoors, introducing First Person View and presenting a new story which would restore original fans' interests and attract new ones alike.

Resident Evil 7 is a much better game, and much better Resident Evil game compared to Resident Evil 6 but it’s not this generations Resident Evil 4, actually it’s quite far from it. It’s also far from being a bad game, actually it’s a pretty good game that’s worth purchasing but the issues keeps it from reaching it’s full potential.
Capcom finally returned beloved franchise to survival horror roots. Resident Evil 7 is definitely not the best game in the genre (or the series), but it's a solid step away from action-packed Hollywood-style entries to more grotesque, bloody and scary experience.

Finally Resident Evil returns to the horror roots with some successful changes. RE7 is classic, disturbing and scary and it’s one of the best survival horror games in the last few years. For those of us who have wanted an old-school survival horror game for years, Resident Evil 7 is the best choice.

Rather than being something that's just inspired by what came before, Resident Evil 7 will likely be inspiring the horror genre directly for a long time to come.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is Capcom's little survival horror that could. With so much contention about this entry being in first-person and the complete lack of returning protagonists, many felt wrongfully disgruntled about this truly innovative and expertly crafted survival horror that plays the way classic Resident Evil would play in the current generation. The developers finally figured out what made Resident Evil tick, and they did it by taking a long and introspective look at the most beloved entries in the series and putting a new spin on them. PSVR and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard together is by far one of the most successful experiments since Resident Evil 4.
After almost a decade, Capcom has finally created a Resident Evil game worthy of the Resident Evil name. RE7 takes a new direction with the first-person camera but it really feels like a classic RE title. A much needed reboot for a franchise that was on the verge of its demise.

Enthralling, atmospheric and creepy with some nice new ideas. Unfortunately the quality doesn't sustain. Not as groundbreaking as some Resident Evil titles, but a promising new direction for the series.
(P.S.: Playing through the game multiple times is so, so worth it)
Resident Evil 7 is a welcome return to form and an excellent change of pace from a lot of the gaming fare that's either out or coming out. I'd recommend it to anyone, whether they like horror or not. There's a lot of good work in here, and if it takes getting frightened once in a while to see it, I say it's worth opening that door.
