Injustice 2 is a fighting game that's accessible to anyone, but also deep enough for veteran fighting fans. An incredible step up from Gods Among Us in practically every way possible, it successfully leverages heaps of content and a strong roster with tight and fast fighting mechanics. Gear pushes customization without sacrificing balance, and both Multiverse and Online modes keep Injustice 2 interesting no matter how you play.

At its most crucial, Injustice 2 joyously depicts its heroes doing the right thing simply for its own sake.

Injustice 2 gives ample reason to check back almost daily, whether to strengthen an individual character or progress your guild's reputation. With a solid story mode and comprehensive tutorials, it never once feels like the fighting mechanics are too difficult to grasp. While it may not be the most technically impressive or competitive fighting game ever made, Injustice 2 surely is one of the most accessible and difficult to put down.

Injustice 2 is a good follow-up and a very good fighting game. Its story is less surprising than the first episode, but it does the job, and the fights are spectacular and quite technical.

Injustice 2 is easy to fall in love with. The super hero theme is as fun as the first installment, and everything else just seem better – including the online mode and the single player campaign.

All in all, Injustice 2 is surprisingly fantastic. Combat feels very weighty and satisfying, the graphics look incredible, characters look fascinatingly detailed and even the bass-heavy sound design is top notch. DC and fighter fans should definitely be giving Injustice 2 time. [Dave Aubrey separately reviewed the PS4 (8.4) and PC (8) versions. Their scores have been averaged]

Injustice 2 has everything a sequel should have: the return of the features that seduced the fans in the first place; new ways for gamers to submerge even deeper into the title; and an overall improvement of the visual front. If you loved Injustice, you are a fan of DC and you are looking for a medium to hard fighting experience, then Injustice 2 is perfect for you.

Bigger, faster, stronger, the second chapter in the beat'em up series of the DC Universe improves the original in every possible way, with a great single player mode, a very rich customisation system, and some nice online features, for competitive and casual players alike.

Injustice 2 does more of what made the first Injustice so popular - a meaty campaign, satisfying combat and a stack of extra content with the promise of more to come means that Injustice 2 is a fighting game that appeals to pros and newcomers alike.

This is likely their best game since NetherRealm was founded within Warner Bros. The formula seems so perfect, it's hard to imagine anyone not finding something to enjoy in Injustice 2. Whether you like fighting games, DC Comics, or just superheroes getting into visceral combat, this is a sequel worth checking out.

With NetherRealm firing on all cylinders, Injustice 2 is not just a great looking comic book fighting game, but it's also a remarkably deep, gratifying and consistently entertaining one too. The gear system is great too, ensuring you'll be playing for months on end. A triumphant return for DC's heroes and villains.

Netherrealm and WB Games pack a new Injustice, and it's more powerful, big and epic then ever. It would have been enough to follow the footsteps of great successes like the latest Mortal Kombat, but it's not like this: Injustice 2 is not a simple reskin with the characters borrowed from the DC Universe, it's a brand that finally reaches its completeness, it's dignity, and now is able to earn a first place in the world of Beat'em up for the general public.

Injustice 2 is a great sequel for Gods Among Us. NetherRealm Studios took a pretty safe road with this title in terms of gameplay mechanics, but the little changes they made work perfectly. A great story, good loot box system and a solid multiplayer, makes this experience worthwhile.

Injustice 2 goes to great lengths to be a fighting game with longevity in mind without ostracizing a more casual audience. A superb story, a great roster, and a smart, if overly complicated, Gear system all contribute to that, and the result is arguably the best overall fighter of modern times.
