It's cheap, it's great and worth hours of enjoyment (as well as few jump scares to boot). The few issues in 2Dark are a testament to how good this game plays and feels. It's very important that this actually feels like a creepy game as well, otherwise the storyline wouldn't fit in well with the scenery. Overall, this is a great indie title to check out.
2Dark is a very good survival horror that always mixes some interesting action and stealth mechanics. The art design is very good, characterized by plenty of blood and violence.

2Dark relegates the flatless only on the artistic side, hiding behind its style a deep and satisfing game. Unfortunately in that deep there are some bugs capable to break up the game.

Fr'drick Raynal makes a successful come back at the survival-horror genre with 2Dark. Taking the infiltration approach for its gameplay, the title shines for its horrifying atmosphere. The studio made no compromise on gore with a great selection of serial killers that will put your nerves to the test, all coated in an original and oldschool art direction with a solid OST.

2Dark is mostly a triumph for Gloomywood. It is impressive and refreshing that a skilled user could play a survival horror stealth game that can be completed without killing anyone. Sure, sometimes accidents happen and a kid dies a horrible bloody death, which can lead to both horrific shock and bemused laughter... at the same time no less, but that is the weird and wonderful tone of 2Dark. Inane inventory system and difficulty spike aside, this is a very interesting and free-form survival horror that dares to be a little different. A humble little game that really tries its best to get people to invest in saving children and be heroic with no shred of irony.
A great return to the good old times, but with some technical issues that make this game less better...

2Dark shows that the creator of Alone in the Dark is still full of good ideas. Even if this game seems like a cute old-school title, it hides a terrific survival game which does nothing like the modern ones, even if it can get a bit buggy. In any case 2Dark is a rather hardcore title, which should largely satisfy lovers of stealth and survival horror games.
An interesting storyline, clever game and level design are all defining features of 2Dark, but it falls short when it comes to offering a challenge worthy of a survival-horror game that was anticipated with Frédérick Raynal's return to the genre.
2Dark that creeps on a subject that not many dare to venture in; the kidnapping, torture, and murder of children.
If you're in the mood for a challenging and dark adventure, you could do worse than 2Dark. The pulpy subject matter and tone are different from the average horror game. The unique perspective and art style actually serve the material quite well, too. Despite the rough edges, horror fans should give 2Dark a chance.
