Even though The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game is full of fun moments that you can enjoy with a pal, constant technical issues and repetitive gameplay hold it back from being the next great Lego game.

Everything what's good in LEGO games, but this time nothing's wasting our time. Definitely the most pleasant entry from Traveller's Tales.

Exploration is the heart of the adventure, both in the story and the world players navigate. Finding gold bricks is rewarding, as you feel like you're uncovering well-kept treasures

It's always a shame when a game has such an incredible foundation and never becomes what it should. Fans of LEGO games and of the movie will have fun regardless, because we're a bit crazy like that. But if you don't fall in the crazy category, best bet is to wait for the next LEGO game that will hopefully feature this same innovation. TT Games has plenty of good ideas here. Please don't let them die before they can be implemented in a truly great LEGO game.

Even though this LEGO game is a little bit monotone, it really is a great combination of action, humor and freedom to explore. A great game for those who have followed the saga.

A fun game that may be appealing to those who have enjoyed previous LEGO Games, with a few new features and a lot of "more of the same" moments.

The Lego Ninjago Movie Videogame is a fun platformer that expands on the established formula with an enjoyable combat system. Unfortunately, performance issues and lacklustre level design hold it back from greatness.

While LEGO Ninjago is certainly more aimed at a younger crowd, if you're a middle-aged gamer like myself who have enjoyed the vast majority of LEGO titles up to this point, then the added combat complexity and small tweaks to gameplay mechanics make this

There are certainly signs that this may have been rushed to coincide with a movie, but it's definitely not a cash-in. Serious thought and effort has gone into making sure this is an enjoyable experience. Providing the biggest shake-up to the LEGO game formula since the series begun, not only is this a genuinely engaging action game, it joins the ranks as one of the few great movie tie-in games.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game will provide some fun for fans of the film and the characters, but its high asking price and relative lack of content may underwhelm those who enjoy the typically better LEGO titles.

I can’t help feeling that if TT had dug just a little deeper, and expanded on the combat with things like elemental skill trees or multi-character combos, they could have made it even more engaging.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame is a lot of fun, but the camera angles are diabolical in co-op, detracting from the fun that playing with someone normally brings. The story is weak, but the humour more than makes up for it, and the diverse combat feels great to control, especially when racking up a 100-hit combo.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game offers a refreshing combat system although held back by a restricted level design. When it comes to the Nintendo Switch version, it suffers from some annoying performance issues that might have an impact on the gameplay experience.

This latest LEGO game lets you play through the action highlights of the LEGO Ninjago Movie. While it is somewhat lacking on the humour and story side, its fresh take on the LEGO video game formula sets a high standard for the gameplay of future LEGO game titles.

I feel like this could have been a good Lego game but it was cheapened by being a typical spin off game for a kids movie.

So, can I recommend The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game? For kids, if they have an interest in Ninjago and the developers can fix the crashes, yes. For everyone else? Please don't bother.

An unexpected treat of a game, one that bodes well for the future of the Lego video game series. A rapid-release movie tie-in is a really strange place for innovation, yet here it is.

The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game (whew!) is a fun game that is well worth your time if you enjoyed the previous Lego titles. Personally, I wish they had based it on the series and not the new movie, both look and lore-wise. However, any fan of the Lego Ninjago universe should definitely check this one out.
