Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption doesn't have the overall polish of an AAA game like Dark Souls, which is understandable since their budgets are completely different, but it is a game that has found a very unique twist to the formula to stand out among other Souls-like experiences. It's a nice game for fans of the genre, but one in which inexperienced players might feel overwhelmed.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption has a winner card that is "creativity in upgrade system of the character " that is more like a downgrade system! in fact, if you are upgrade power of your character more and more in other games, in Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption you must choose that in which order downgrade your character to receive less harm in the game. This system made the game so deep, and beside hardcore boss fights, choosing the right tactic for sacrifice and order of the boss fights challenge you even more. Of course the game has issues like technical problems or unstable frame rate, but in the end Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a Boss-Battler game that could satisfy all gamers that are looking for challenging games. Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is an admirable achievement for a team of only 7 people and it's worth your time.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption hits you with a raw experience that is aimed at specific players. Despite some technical shortcomings, this is a great choice if you're looking for a challenging game with a lot of intensity.

undefined.Frustratingly difficult titles can be rewarding in their own right but need to provide the opportunity to improve without constant defeats to incentivize further attempts. Trying to fight both the bosses of SINNER as well as the controls of the warrior is just an overwhelmingly painful experience. I can only recommend SINNER to those looking for an almost insurmountable challenge, and even then, you're probably better off just sinking those hours into further exploration of Lordran.

Not only is Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption a shameless rip-off of the Souls series, it also manages to be a downright irritating game with very little payoff.

The essence of Sinner is that you’re dropped pretty unceremoniously, and with little preparation (the tutorial involves learning only the barest of fundamentals to kill a handful of ghosts), right into the deep end...

The first thing to say about Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is that, against all odds, this is a very original experience that has little or nothing to do with Dark Souls. A title designed to torment us with its high degree of difficulty, in which atoning for our sins condemns us to constantly die and be reborn. A title only suitable for the most skilled players, those who never give up; those who do not fear death.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption really packs a punch. The whole idea of making a Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls hybrid is a risk that this game nails without a doubt. Sure it feels like more could have been added like maybe some levels you have to go through to get to the bosses but it’s not the end of the world. Having a mechanic that makes you weaker, not stronger is a nice twist and certainly makes the boss fights more tense the closer you get to defeating them.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a hellish ordeal that proves that patience is a virtue, as the game will test your persistence throughout this quest for atonement. Fans of Dark Souls or the structure of the early Mega Man titles will find a lot to enjoy with this Nintendo eShop release; however, the challenge may prove to be too much for those looking for a more casual affair.

A confusing clash of ideologies and design choices is what ruins this games potential, turning it into one of the more boring and aggravating Dark Souls clones out there.

The difficulty can put a lot of people of but it can also attract people who really want to be challenged and although this might not be as difficult as the original souls games it is certainly up there.

Sinner merely serves as a tempting taste of what could be but for those willing to sacrifice an already perfected formula, there is some redemption to be found in this new realm Dark Star Game Studios have brought to life

What’s depressing is that the game has so much untapped potential. I have no doubt that it would have been something amazing if there was more time to polish or add to what it already has. Sadly, we’re stuck with what we’re given with.

Overall though, Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption was a pleasure and a breath of fresh air for the style. While I absolutely love the Souls Series, Bloodborne and The Surge, not having to deal with the environments and instead having all of the effort put into epic boss fights made for a lot of fun and frustration that comes with having to learn and adapt that quickly to rapidly changing situations.

In short then we can say that we are facing a Hamlet doubt about the final. On the one hand we have in fact a game with excellent premises, which has many interesting features, first of all the combat system. The way in which it is structured and the care of the bosses, in fact, make us on the one hand hope for a total success of the game. On the other hand, however, we find some untreated features, which needed very little to succeed, like a little care of the environments and a story left a bit 'so. From this title we would have expected a little more on this front, in order to be able to live a complete experience that, so, remains little more than mentioned.

Regardless of its minimal shortcomings, Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a hugely fun injection of hardcore combat, and well worth the time of those looking for something fresh.

Sinner steals ideas and art design from From Software and also fails on almost all other levels with a sluggish, delayed combat system, a miserable camera and bad technology. Nobody needs this cheap copy.
