Spyro Reignited Trilogy Reviews
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is silly fun; an enjoyable, exciting and vibrant compendium of collect-a-thon platforming classics given a new lease of life. Flaming wonderful.
Spyro Reignited is a shining example of a modern remaster for an old school classic done right. Spyro's original series on the PS1 is now handsomely dressed in enhanced visuals, animations, and redesigns thanks to the team over at Toys for Bobs. All three games are presented in picturesque graphics that are right out of a Pixar film, bolstering lighthearted charm everywhere you look. The crisp and fluid controls still stand the test of time, echoing the overall craftsmanship of the originals and that unique soundtrack composed by Stewart Copeland is still drumming along to the beat of its own drum. Spyro's original series translates seamlessly onto a modern generation of consoles.
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy shows others how to layer your nostalgia cake with sparkly icing before wolfing it down — a super remaster of an old favourite.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a solid remaster for those looking to play as gaming's most famous purple dragons.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a successful remake of the original title(s), which is similar to the case of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The developers have done a great job by refreshing the graphics and tweaking some gameplay mechanics. Also, modern controls have been implemented. All these aspects make this game pack a joyful experience.

Style and substance make Spyro: Reignited Trilogy an incredibly compelling package, for fans and newcomers alike.
The Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is a wonderful recreation of three of the most beloved PS1 games. Not only is it beautiful, but it's a fantastic trip down memory lane for gamers looking for that quick hit of nostalgia. While it's certainly not as challenging as I remember it being as a kid, that low barrier to entry is exciting for a new gaming generation.
Taking off the nostalgia goggles for a moment, Toys For Bob have done a brilliant job in revamping a classic trilogy of games. In updating the visuals and tweaking the controls, they've stayed true to the source material and crafted an experience so involving that you'd be forgiven for thinking this was a brand new game. Initial viewings had me concerned that they might not be able to live up to the hype; but on playing the game, for the briefest moment I was eight years old again – and I enjoyed every minute of it.
There's not a lot to do in Spyro the Dragon
Another amazing platformer is now on the Nintendo Switch. Spyro the Reignited Trilogy is a wonderful remake of the original games that will leave you wanting more. It is a lot easier than the originals, but that should not stop old fans and new fans from playing the game. Its a good game for the Switch, but I would recommend just getting it on PS4 or Xbox if you want the traditional Spyro experience.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is pretty much all you could hope for in a remake. It feels like a modern version of the originals, at least as best that they could be, without too many dated elements to hold it back. While I would argue it didn't age as flawlessly as one could hope, you get an absurd amount of bang for your buck and the ability to take it on the go is hard to argue with. So, if you want to have a blast from the past, look no further than Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Reignited is a very well done remaster and was well worth the time and effort put in by the developers. Everything looks, feels, and sounds as if it could have come out this year as a brand new game. All three games are fun though the first and second are the strongest entries in the series. As platformers go these games aren't incredibly challenging, but there are some spots which can be fairly difficult especially when trying to 100% the games.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a tour of some of the platforming genre’s most important history and hopefully a sign of things to come.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the remastered collection that longtime fans deserve and the means to get newcomers interested in the purple dragon’s adventures. Toys for Bob has captured the spirit of the original three entries in the platforming series, popped in a few helpful updates, and created a beautiful visual landscape that gives new life to Spyro’s early journeys. The long load times and past mistakes from the original developers still pop up, but there’s no denying that this remastered trilogy is Spyro’s triumphant return.
It's a faithful and fun remaster, although it doesn't push the boat out in any way.
A relaxing jaunt back into the classic world of 3D platformers.
A ridiculously handsome, pitch-perfect remastered trilogy that no Spyro fan should miss
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is a dream come true, a full remake that surpasses all expectations.
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy lives on contrasts. We can be Spyro whenever we want with the portability and a lot of content to experience with a great control system. But also we cannot deny that the portability was payed with lot of technical compromises, that weren't even enough to give the game a costant fluidity. Perhaps it's only to those who have only Switch as a current-gen console.
